Following her exit from This Morning at the back end of 2023, Holly Willoughby has now landed her next major gig, joining Netflix alongside survival expert and adventurer Bear Grylls.

Holly will present a brand new competition show called Bear Hunt in 2025, where a host of British celebrities are dropped into the Central American jungle.

The news was announced just days after Holly presented the live Dancing On Ice final, with Netflix bosses writing online: 'Introducing Bear Hunt – this new action-packed competition show sees a group of unlikely British celebrities dropped into the Central American jungle as prey for one of the world’s most fearsome predators... @beargrylls! Hosted by @hollywilloughby – coming to Netflix in 2025. #NextOnNetflix' (sic)

Although not many details have been announced about the new show just yet, Netflix say of the plot: 'Bear believes there’s an action hero inside us all - even the celebs - but how strong is their will to survive? As Bear puts them through their paces, those who fail to impress will face the dreaded ‘Bear Hunt’ – a brutal game of cat and mouse where they’ll be hunted down by Bear himself and, if captured, eliminated from the show.'

Holly's fans were quick to react to the news, with many thrilled for the 43-year-old.

One wrote: 'This is gonna be awesome ❤', with another adding: 'Yeahhh, can’t wait for this 🙌🙌🙌'. (sic)

Another commented: 'FANTASTIC NEWS 👏👏👏', with another adding: '😮 can't wait to watch!'. (sic)

'Richard and Judy said 'we only look after this show, it will always belong to the viewers'. It's been an honour to just be part of it's story and I know this story has many chapters left to go. Sadly, however, I now feel I have to make this decision for me and my family.

'I will miss you all so much.

'Holly'. (sic)
