Carol Vorderman offers FREE maths tutorials for children online
The service is suitable for children aged 4-11
As the country self-isolates due to the Coronavirus outbreak, many parents are having to home-school their children, as Prime Minister Boris Johnson ordered schools up and down the country to close to prevent the spread.
Whilst Joe Wicks is offering free PE classes every morning, former Countdown star Carol Vorderman has now made her online maths tutorials free for primary school children.
Carol's maths school 'The Maths Factor' is usually £2 per week, but due to the current situation, Carol has made the decision to make the service free for all children between the ages of 4-11, until schools reopen.
Speaking on today's episode of Good Morning Britain, where she appeared via Skype, Carol did encourage every parent with a 4-11 year-old to sign up, but did ask users to bear with the system due to the high volume of people on the servers.
She also wrote on Twitter, 'My maths school http://themathsfactor.com is usually about £2 a week. I want to help ❤️ so it's now FREE for children age 4-11 😁 until schools open. There are so many computer games available, the list is endless, but there are plenty of party games suitable for kids and families to play, for the older kids, there are many games that will occupy them for hours or even days!
Pizza making
Make cooking a fun part of the day by getting your kids to make their own pizzas. If you're feeling adventurous you can make the dough yourself, otherwise just get the pizza bases and cover them with toppings of your choice.
Baking
If savoury cooking isn't your thing, try baking. Making a cake or cupcakes can be a great way to have fun in the kitchen with your little ones, for the younger ones they can help you decorate the cake. Meanwhile, older ones can help you make the mixture from scratch.

Meanwhile, Carol isn't the only celebrity using her status for good. Joe Wicks is also keeping the nation active, hosting a live PE class every morning.
Nearly one million people streamed Joe's first class on Monday morning, with more expected to take part this week.
