All the details about The Masked Singer series 8
Alan Carr and Stacey Solomon have joined the show!
Following the news that The Masked Singer will be returning for an eighth series, bosses have now got fans all excited, revealing comedian Alan Carr has joined the show, with Stacey Solomon on his team!
As we await series eight to land, here's all of the details we know so far, including the potential return date.
When is The Masked Singer returning?
The singers are still masked, but the secret's out! The Masked Singer is coming back to ITV/STV.
The Masked Singer is set to return for an eighth series on ITV/STV, with production company Bandicoot looking to film the show in September and October 2026.
Although nothing has been confirmed just yet, the new series could begin in January 2027, if it follows the usual schedule.
Which celebs are taking part?
That would be giving the game away! As usual, a fresh batch of famous faces will don elaborate costumes to disguise their identities as they sing in front of a studio audience and the celebrity judging panel.
Who are the series 8 judges?
We now know Davina McCall, Mo Gilligan, Maya Jama and Jonathan Ross will all return for series eight, but this time, there's a twist!
Davina, Mo, Maya and Jonathan, who are now being dubbed as the ‘Legends’, will go up against new judge Alan Carr and his team of 'Wild Cards'.
Alan and his team will aim to give the ‘Legends’ a run for their money to work out who is behind the masks and be crowned the best detectives of The Masked Singer 2027. Alan said: “I can’t wait to play detective - so excited to be shouting ‘take it off’ in the actual studio rather than on my settee at home. A dream come true.”
Who is on Alan's team?
On 19th August it was announced that Stacey Solomon would be joining Alan Carr's team. She said: “I’m so excited to be joining Alan Carr’s team on The Masked Singer! Me and my family have been huge fans of the show.
"We have the best time trying to guess who’s behind the mask, so actually joining Alan’s group of detectives and playing against the ‘Legends’ is a dream come true. I can’t wait to start sleuthing and hopefully unmask a few more superstars…!”
