Monday night's final episode kicked off with the Islanders in a celebratory mood having all made the final, and bosses were keen to keep the excitement rife, throwing the finalists an epic final pool party.
Sammy received a text in bed which read: 'Finalists, get ready to dive into a good time, as you’re invited to a VIP All Stars pool party! #MakingWaves #FinalFiveOnly'. (sic)
The party included a VIP guest in the form of '21 Reasons' DJ Nathan Dawe, who performed some of his tracks and gave the Islanders an exclusive listen to his new song ‘Here in Your Arms’.
The episode also showed this year's finalists getting gushy with each other, with all five final couples declaring their true feelings for one another.
Curtis and Ekin-Su talked about their first meeting, with Curtis saying: “One of the first memories I have is the first time we were in the Secret Garden, I knew there was something there.”
Ekin-Su replied: “I’m so glad I've matched with someone who is just like me, you’re my best friend, you’re my partner, you’re my lover, you’re my boyfriend…you are my Love Island journey!”
Elma and Sammy also had a chat in the pool, with the TOWIE girl saying: “You walked in and it changed everything, it's almost like it was meant to be.”
Sammy said: “As soon as we sat down and started chatting I was like…yeah.”
Elma replied: “I was very excited, I must've said I’m happy about 100 times!”
Luca said to Grace: “You have made me feel so comfortable in us, there was no worry… like I said as soon as we get out of here and you’ve met my family and I’ve met yours, you will be my girlfriend.”
With Grace teasing: “Don’t spoil the surprise!”
Casey told Gabby: “Right now we’re at the perfect stage to want to carry on on the outside.”
Gabby responded, adding: “I actually feel excited for you to meet my family, this is where we learn about each other in others ways.”
Catherine also spoke to Omar, saying: “I’ve never had someone that's just come in wanting me.”
Omar adds: “You are perfect the way you are, I’m happy, I’m grateful we’ve met each other at the most perfect time…”
