Last updated 31st Mar 2022
On 30th March the sad news of the death of The Wanted's Tom Parker was announced by his wife Kelsey and the band with emotional statements. Family, friends and fans have since shared their tributes for the singer, who was just 33-years-old.
Ed Sheeran called him 'a lovely guy' and Love Island commentator Iain Stirling said he was: 'the sort of person who radiated a positive energy that lit up a room.'
The Wanted have just finished their 'Most Wanted - The Greatest Hits' tour, which started on 3rd March 2022. Despite missing the first few few shows due to receiving cancer treatment in Spain, Tom did reunite with the band on stage for some of the shows.
Once he had returned to the UK, Tom had an emotional reunion in Bournemouth on stage with Max George, Siva Kaneswaran, Jay McGuiness and Nathan Sykes, where he appeared sitting on a throne.
Max took to Instagram to say: 'We did it. @tomparkerofficial .. YOU did it! All I can say in words is thank you for making such beautiful memories over the last few weeks. I love every single one of you who stuck with us. May our hearts be full, like our drinks tonight, may we sing and dance til’ we lose our minds, we are only young if we seize the night, tonight we own the night. This is not the end…..'.
The band also paid tribute to their member who appeared at several shows, describing him as a legend.
After performing in Liverpool they wrote: 'Oh what a night! LIVERPOOL, you were incredible. Thank you to every single one of you who came to see us this past couple of weeks, we have had so much fun and made some more magical memories. This man was a legend, a legend of his time @tomparkerofficial. See you all soon xx 😘😍❤️'.
And after their gig in London, The Wanted shared another photo of the five of them saying: 'Still buzzing from last night, honestly we can’t thank each and everyone of you enough!!! @theo2london with @thewantedmusic'
'@maxgeorge @sivaofficial @birdspotting @tomparkerofficial @nathansykes love you boys! 🎉 ❤️ 💥'.
Our thoughts are with Tom's friends and family at this difficult time.
