Did The Script break up?
No, The Script didn't break up. However, they did go on a hiatus after their 'No Sound Without Silence Tour' in January 2015, with Danny confirming they needed time off to 'chill' and Danny had to have throat surgery.
Like many other artists, The Script had to break from touring due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, with Danny later revealing he forgot the lyrics to one of their songs in an interview backstage at Hits Live Liverpool.
Danny said: "The first few gigs coming back though, after COVID were crazy. I was writing lyrics on my hands and everything!
"It's not the first verse," he continued: "It's the second verse. It's the cheeky second verse. If you see me put the mic out like this, it means I totally forgot my part."
Are they going on tour?
Yes, the band have announced they will be going on 'Man In The Arena Tour' in November 2026. The band will be playing across Manchester, Leeds, Aberdeen, Glasgow, Cardiff, Liverpool and more.
Speaking about the tour, Danny O’Donoghue said: “Most people will never fully understand the relationship I have with words and music. It's how I process everything. I love music, I love words, and I love being Irish. All my life I poured indescribable emotions into song. When I was bullied in school, I never fought back.
"I'd wait until I got home and I'd try and sing as high and as powerfully as I could, letting the pain feel every note. When my father died, that grief became fuel for the best songs I could write.”
