The Holiday is NOT getting a sequel according to Kate Winslet ðŸ˜
BRB, just going to cry into our hot chocolate...
It may have been released way back in 2006, but to this day The Holiday remains one of the most popular festive movies to watch around Christmas! With this in mind, it's no surprise the nation was left in sheer excitement when rumours suggested the movie could be getting a sequel.
After a source claimed all original cast members were teaming up for the sequel, actress Kate Winslet, who played the role of Iris in The Holiday, has now broken all of our hearts...
Speaking at the Avatar: The Way Of Water premiere in London last year, 48-year-old Kate told Lorraine: "I heard that myself today and I was like 'well that's news to me', I don't think that's a real thing, I'm afraid.
"I certainty haven't received any phone calls. I promise you I have not."

The Holiday was first released in 2006, featuring a stellar cast made up of Kate Winslet, Cameron Diaz, Jack Black and Jude Law.
The heartwarming movie follows Cameron and Kate's characters (Amanda and Iris), as they swap homes in LA and Surrey, where they both meet new men and fall in love. The Holiday grossed over $205 million worldwide and has since become a Christmas staple for many households.
So, although it sounds like there's no sequel coming any time soon, the original The Holiday is available to stream on Amazon Prime and Netflix now.
