Phillip Schofield has broken his silence and taken to Twitter to respond to claims made against him over the weekend. His response comes amidst feud allegations and reports that he is 'difficult' to work with.
Posting to his 4.5 million followers, he wrote, 'The end of another really sad weekend.
'When you try for 35 years to be the easiest, most fun person to work with and you read such hurtful and wildly untrue stories from nameless ‘sources’'.
He added, 'Obviously I’ll take it on the chin.. I just hope you know me better'.
Phillip's response comes after it was reported he had fallen out with his This Morning co-host and BFF Holly Willoughby over a Sunday Times Magazine front cover. The cover showed an image of Holly wearing a cartoon crown, with the caption, 'How Holly Willoughby eclipsed Phillip Schofield and became Britain’s hottest TV star'.
However, Holly was quick to slam those rumours, suggesting everything was fine between the pair.
Taking to Instagram, she posted a photo of the duo at The National Television Awards, captioning the image, 'Talking of important men in my life on Fathers Day. Here's another one. My partner on the telly and one of my best friends in the world... love you'.. sic.
Fans were quick to rush to Phillip's side, with one user writing, 'You're a national treasure' whilst Jo Malone replied saying, 'Dear Schofe I would like to say thank you , everytime I have been on the show with u both or have met you out and about you have ALWAYS been a kind, interested, life enhancing gentleman who looks to give back'. sic. ITV's official Twitter account also tweeted him a '❤️'.
We hope you're OK Phil!
