"And I was like, right, well, that's where I start writing the album from this song. Big moment in my life. Let's write a song about it."
He told Hits Radio: "We were just there having food, having a few drinks, got chatting and then here we are all these years later.
"I don't know, we just got chatting and then I just found myself just wanting to do more of that evening and then the rest of time. And I don't really know how to describe it any other way."

Niall released his song 'Dinner Party', written about the first time he met his girlfriend. He opened up about their relationship on Hits Radio.
When asked if she would mind him writing about other parts of their relationship, he said: "I think she understands that that's my outlet and we're pretty good at like chatting about stuff anyway. I just then put it to pen and paper.
"The good thing about when I try, when I write, I try and be as honest as I can to a point and then I try and make it sound relatable.
"I don't try and get too like delving, because if there's nothing more to listen to a song that you can't relate to, if I just keep going with detail, detail, detail about me, it doesn't make it relatable."
