Love Island's Malin Andersson gives birth to a baby girl
She has released a statement sharing her happy news
Former Love Island star Malin Anderson has announced the arrival of her baby girl, who she welcomed with boyfriend Jared. Malin gave birth on 28th January and has now shared a statement about her happy news.
The new mum announced the news in a statement to MailOnline on 3rd February, and a spokesperson for Malin said: 'We are super excited to share that Malin gave birth to a healthy baby girl last Friday 28th January on her due date.
'She and her partner are completely in love and are taking this time as a family to enjoy the baby bubble but she cant wait to share more with everyone soon.'
The reality TV star announced she was pregnant in August with a sweet Instagram post with a black and white photo of the couple cradling her stomach and the caption: 'My next chapter. My new beginning. My happy ending. My entire universe. All mine.'
The pregnancy news came shortly after Malin revealed she had sadly suffered a miscarriage. Malin also sadly lost her baby daughter Consy in 2019, when she tragically died at just four-weeks-old after being born prematurely.
The news that Malin would be having a girl came at a gender reveal party which she threw in her home. Speaking about having a girl after losing her daughter Consy, Malin said that: "It brought up loads of emotions."
She added: "It made me feel really emotional. It confirmed it was real, in a weird way. It was like a little miracle and a blessing. To make it even more special, my new baby shares the same due date as my daughter Consy."

Although Malin is yet to share a photo of her newborn, a week ago she did share a photo of her bump with the caption: 'MY FINAL BUMP PIC!!', where she also asked other mothers to share their experience of having a baby.
Although Malin and Jared have been public since June last year, the pair keep their relationship fairly private and rarely post about their love life on social media. The name of their baby girl has yet to be announced but we can't wait for all the adorable baby updates to come!
