As Christmas approaches, kids across the country are getting super excited at the prospect of Santa dropping off presents. But have you ever wondered how the big man gets everything delivered on his way around the world on Christmas Eve?
Don't worry, because this is one delivery that won't be affected by the postal strikes that are taking place, but how does Santa actually deliver all of the presents in just one night?
Generation Logistics have done some number crunching, and have revealed the exact logistics of how Father Christmas can deliver to a massive 310,344,828 houses with children worldwide - baring in mind, with the different timezones he has to travel through, he has a total of 34 hours to deliver the Christmas presents.
With such a huge number of presents to deliver in such a short amount of time, it works out as a massive 152,130 households per minute, 9,127,789 per hour, or 2,536 per second! Phew!
In terms of travelling around the world, he needs to travel 99,419.391 miles (160,000,000 km), at a speed of 4,142,475mph. Hold on tight!
