King Charles III, the UK's new monarch has met hundreds of people outside Buckingham Palace as they gather to pay their respects to his late mother, Queen Elizabeth II.
The new King and Queen flew down to London from Balmoral earlier today
There were cheers from the crowds as the Kingās state Bentley arrived at the gates of the Palace.
Many sang 'God save the King' as Charles shook hands with countless members of the public lined up behind a barrier, thanking them for their good wishes.
The Queen followed behind at a distance, before joining the King at his side to view the floral tributes left outside the gates.
The pair waved to the onlookers, who gave three cheers for the new monarch and his consort.
The Royal Standard was raised above Buckingham Palace for the first time of the Kingās reign.
