With reboots of shows such as Gladiators, Big Brother and Deal or no Deal in recent years, it was announced in 2024 that another iconic show would be making a comeback to our screens, this time in the form of 80s challenge show You Bet!

ITV/STV bosses announced the show would be making a comeback, with popular presenters Holly Willoughby and Stephen Mulhern teaming up to host the two 75-minute episodes in December 2024. The show was so popular that bosses even commissioned it for a second run, called You Bet! On Tour, which aired in 2025.

Is it getting another series?

Despite the success, in February 2026 it was announced that You Bet! has been axed by bosses.

An ITV spokesperson told TV Zone: "You Bet! returned to ITV in 2024 with a peak overnight audience of 4.4m. Both You Bet! and You Bet! On Tour are available to watch on ITVX. There are currently no plans for a new series of You Bet! On Tour."

When was it on TV?

You Bet! aired for two 75 minute specials on 7th and 22nd December 2024.

You Bet! On Tour started on Saturday 30th August 2025, with new episodes every Saturday night for six weeks.

How many episodes?

In the first series there were just two 75 minute episodes.

For You Bet! On Tour, there was six 60 minute episodes and a 60 minute Christmas special.

Who hosted the show?

Dancing On Ice hosts Holly and Stephen presented the rebooted series, but only Stephen returned for You Bet! On Tour.

It was revealed in 2025 that Holly wouldn't be returning, with a spokesperson for ITV telling Radio Times: "Unfortunately, Holly couldn't commit to the dates to host the new series of You Bet!, but will hopefully appear as a guest panellist on one of the shows in the new series."

Holly did appear on the celebrity panel during the second series.

Who was on the celebrity panel?

The panel for the second series included former host Holly Willoughby, along with Zoe Ball, Rob Beckett, Alex Brooker, Rylan Clark, Alesha Dixon, Alison Hammond, Babatunde Aléshé, Josie Gibson, Danny Jones, Eddie Kadi, Judi Love, Oti Mabuse, Nick Mohammed, AJ Odudu, Will Best, Greg Rutherford, Adam and Ryan Thomas, Johnny Vegas and Josh Widdicombe.

Comedian Rob Beckett sat on the panel for series one. He was joined by singer Olly Murs, Bake Off host Alison Hammond, England footballer Mary Earps, Loose Women star Judi Love, podcaster Rosie Ramsey, and former football manager Harry Redknapp.

What channel was it on?

You Bet! and You Bet! On Tour aired on ITV and ITVX, and STV and STV Player for viewers in Scotland.
