With a cast list including Jason Sudeikis, Hannah Waddingham, Brett Goldstein and Juno Temple, sports comedy drama Ted Lasso was always destined for success, but bosses could only dream of the sheer scale of popularity the show has landed.
Following the third series in 2023, fans of the show have been crying out for more, and up until now the cast and crew have been pretty silent... But that's now all changed!
Will there be a fourth series of Ted Lasso?
YES, YES, YES! In what is perhaps the best news of 2025 so far, Jason Sudeikis, who plays the main role of Ted in the show, has now confirmed Ted Lasso will return for a fourth instalment!
Speaking on the New Heights podcast with Travis and Jason Kelce, he said: “We’re writing season four now; that’s the official word.”
Not only that, 49-year-old Jason then went on to reveal a tiny snippet of the plot, adding: "Ted's coaching a women's team, so there, that's it."
Following Jason spilling the beans on the podcast, the official Ted Lasso account, which has been inactive since October 2024, also posted!
The message read: 'Finally found the dang password to this thing. Sorry y’all. What’d I miss?'
Unsurprisingly, fans of the show went into meltdown after seeing the exciting news. One wrote: 'WHAT???? YES!!!!!!!! Made my week!!!', with another adding: 'Omg obsessed. Can’t wait for this. Everyone loves Ted Lasso!!!'.
A third commented: 'The world needs you back as a gaffer. Bring back your whistle, pull out your clip board and get on a flight back because football is life!'. (sic)
