Alongside couples like Nelly and Steven, Leigh and Leah, Sarah and Dean, and Keye and Davide, series 10 of Married At First Sight UK introduced fans of the show to Rebecca Fenney and Bailey Smith.

Rebecca and Bailey's wedding aired during the fourth episode of series 10 in 2025, after experts Paul C Brunson, Mel Schilling and Charlene Douglas decided to pair them together, and it had looked liked they'd live happily-ever-after, until their shock split after the first reunion show.

With Rebecca now dating female footballer Lily Woodham, fans of the show were keen to know exactly what went wrong for Rebecca and Bailey, as the second reunion show aired on Sunday 1st March.

What happened during the reunion show?

The second series 10 reunion, which was filmed at the back end of 2025, started with Rebecca telling the girls that Bailey had slept with one of co-star April Holmes' best mates, just days after they'd parted ways.

During an argument with April, where Rebecca questioned her 'girl code' for not making her aware of Bailey's sexual activity until she called her, the pair came to blows, with April calling Bec a "b-tch", before she hit back saying she's not the type of girl she wants to associate with.

The drama continued further when Bailey arrived, optimistically telling producers he misses Rebecca and hopes the pair can work things out...

Of course, Bailey wasn't aware of the drama he was walking in on, and during a conversation with Bec at the dinner table, things took a nasty turn. Rebecca said: “So you broke up with me. Then you tried to have sex with me in bed. You told me you loved me. But you slept with someone else, and you were never gonna tell me."

Bailey replied saying: “We weren’t together," before telling producers: “I don’t really wanna ring up my ex and say ‘oh just to let you know I’ve got with someone else’ that would be a weird thing to do.”

He then said to Bec: “I got with someone too soon, and I shouldn’t have stayed as friends. I take on all that blame. But we weren’t together.”

Bailey added: “When did we split up? I’ve never rung an ex in my life,” before Rebecca fumed: “I’m not an ex!!”

Hitting back, he said: “You were an ex! I’d split up with you two days before. You were an ex.”

“So why you trying to sleep with me then?” Rebecca asks.

Bailey added: “You’re still an ex,” with Rebecca then asking: “Why did you try to sleep with me?”

Bailey then confessed: “Because I still loved you."

The pair did manage to be more civil later in the episode, where Bailey confessed he misses a lot of things about Rebecca, and what they had, calling it "f---ing special."

However, when Bailey asked what it would take for the pair to reconcile, she was quick to say: "We will never reconcile, after what happened happened, there was part of me that just shut off completely. I'll never be able to be in this anymore, because the person that was in this wasn't there anymore. I've just got too much self worth to ever go back there. There's nothing that you could ever do."

When Bailey replied saying: "Game over", Bec quickly added: "It was never a game".

Rebecca Fenney at the MAFS UK reunion

After seeing the scenes unfold, fans of the show were quick to express their opinions on the matter, with many viewers seeing both sides of the argument.

Some viewers were on Rebecca's side, with one saying: 'Player bailey. You can't say anything else but player. You wanted your cake and everyone elses 🙌'. (sic)

Another added: 'She's got a point in all honesty they were very serious and he's f---ing someone else when they'd obviously not totally cut the cord'. (sic)

Others were more in Bailey's camp. One added: 'I'm on Bailey's side. He didn't cheat. They weren't together', with another saying: 'The audacity she had. Poor guy got slated and made out he cheated. Sorry but I’d change too if I found out the person I was in love with was messaging their ex the whole time! Then for her to have a go at another girl when she had no loyalty to her and wasn’t even her place to tell her. I can see why he broke up with her. She thinks she’s right in everything'. (sic)

Responding to the reunion scenes, Bec has now taken to Instagram to reflect. She told her followers: 'I had to sleep on it…

'Firstly, thank you all for the support. Your messages don’t go unnoticed, and I’m grateful for the sheer amount of people reaching out with kind words - it means the world to me.

'Secondly, just to clear a few things up….

'I understand I came across cold & harsh at the reunion - I had been hurt and we spent hours dragging it all back up for the sake of the episode. I’m just human, and talking about it took its toll. I was defensive and cold at times and I’m sorry if I upset anybody.

'Next…. I never blamed April for Bailey’s actions. He was to blame for his actions, in exactly the same way I was to blame for mine. I was upset because April never told me when she found out. Baring in mind i’d spoken to her a few hours before it happened, on the festival day.

'A key part that was missed out of the edit…The only reason I ever found out was because of Abi. April eventually told Abi, and within the hour Abi picked up the phone to me and told me to call April. That’s how I found out. This wasn’t shown in the edit, but it was discussed many times.

'I understand on reflection April was put in a difficult situation, she was stuck in the middle, my reaction was too harsh, but I still stand by my view that I should have been told. Definitely by Bailey, but by April too. It shouldn’t have fell to Abi to bring it to me.

'With all of that being said, I wish the best for April, Bailey and all of the cast. We are now months on, I don’t hold any animosity towards anybody whatsoever, I forgive what happened, I take full responsibility for the part I played, and I’m at peace with it all.

'Married At First Sight was a huge part of my life last year, and I’m so grateful for the experience, I met friends for life and I learnt so much about myself. That chapter is now well and truly closed.

'As many of you know, my life has moved on.

'This has happened in most beautiful way, and I’m happier than I have ever been before. I have never felt so loved by another person. I’m grateful my path led me to Lily and I thank the universe for her every day. She is my biggest supporter.

'Once again, thank you for the ongoing love ❤️

'MAFS 2025 - That’s a wrap ✌🏻'.

Are Rebecca and Bailey still together?

During an emotional final vow ceremony, both Rebecca and Bailey vowed to make their relationship work outside of the experiment, and they were still together during the reunion dinner party, revealing they'd spent around 50-60% of the time together.

However, on Sunday 16th November, Rebecca shared a photo of herself to Instagram, simply writing: 'To answer all the questions…. Yes, he fumbled'.

Bailey then shared a longer statement to his own page, adding: 'Unfortunately it’s time to share that Bec and I are no longer together… 😔

'We tried our best to navigate life after the experiment, and although we spent a lot of great time together on the outside, unfortunately the relationship came to an end. I still have a lot of love for Bec and I’m grateful for the amazing relationship we shared. I had fallen for Bec completely and it really was a true love story.

'I won’t lie, watching us fall in love all over again on screen has been ridiculously hard to go through and it’s something I’m still struggling with now. But I wouldn’t have changed any of it!

'Sadly I also have to address the various different false online allegations constantly being spread about me since the start of MAFS, which have been hard to deal with. I want to make it very clear, I never cheated on Bec at any point. I didn’t handle our break up well and for that I’m truly sorry to Bec, but I was completely loyal the whole way through our relationship.

'I’m not perfect, I don’t claim to be and I take responsibility for my part in why the relationship didn’t work. Making the decision to end things was heartbreaking and not a decision that I took lightly.

'I’m still heartbroken, but I wish Bec all the best and I always will ❤️'. (sic)

Later in the day, Rebecca then shared another message to her Instagram Story, writing: 'Thank you for all the kind words and messages. I see every single one of them and they mean the world to me.

'Just for clarification - the distance wasn't the reason we broke up. I've seen lots of stories claiming that's the reason, but it's not'. (sic)

In an Instagram story uploaded on 17th November, Bec revealed a little more. Alongside a picture of her sat on her a train, she wrote: 'Thank you again for all the love 🤍 I'm just going through everyone's messages now. It's overwhelming.

'I appreciate everybody has followed me on this journey with Bailey, and our split has come as a shock. I understand you all want answers and clarity.

'We filmed the reunion in June and split the month after, when we were away for the weekend at a festival with some of the other cast members. The breakup completely broke me. I won't drag Bailey's name through the mud, but there isn't any chance of us getting back together.

'I had to get over heartbreak and now I'm in a much stronger position. The second reunion comes out in February'.

Speaking to Cosmopolitan in November 2025, Rebecca said: "Things changed for both of us when we left the experiment, and ultimately Bailey ended the relationship. As Bailey stated in his recent statement, events that happened as soon as he broke up with me meant there was never any chance of us rekindling things.

"We’re now four months on since our relationship ended, and no I wouldn’t class us as friends, but I have no ill feelings towards him. What we shared was so special and I’ll always be grateful for that."

Who is Rebecca dating now?

In December 2025, Rebecca announced she is now dating Welsh footballer Lily Woodham. Find out more right here.

What happened on their wedding?

Although Bailey seemed very pleased with his wife on first viewing, the same couldn't be said for Rebecca, who confessed he wasn't her type and alarm bells were ringing. Despite getting teary during her vows, which led to Bailey also being emotional, Rebecca denied Bailey a kiss at the altar, instead making him kiss her cheek.

Rebecca was also concerned that Bailey wasn't the 'alpha male' she was after, despite him revealing to her he's the leader of his group with an extraverted personality. As the wedding reception went on, Rebecca decided to speak to Bailey's friends, who weren't exactly helpful towards their pal...

As well as confirming he isn't 6'4, his friends also revealed he doesn't go to the gym every day and said he changed his dress sense in a past relationship, something which left Rebecca alarmed.

After hearing some of his 'white lies', Rebecca asked Bailey to sleep on the sofa during their wedding night, something he reluctantly agreed to do.

What happened on their honeymoon?

The pair later enjoyed a dance date, as well as feeding turtles, before they were forced to spend all day in their room due to a cyclone which hit the island.

After sailing through the experiment so far, Rebecca and Bailey were experienced their first lows during Home Stays week, when the realisation finally kicked in about how far apart they live.

During a chat with the experts during the final commitment ceremony, both Rebecca and Bailey spoke about their worries for the future, admitting they don't have an answer to how they would make things work in the long-term.

Despite saying they don't know what their 'forever home' is or what the future holds, Rebecca and Bailey were quick to express they love each other, both choosing to stay.

"We don't know where our forever may be, but I think we've both realised that if we're together, we're happy."

Revealing he would "move heaven and earth to make this relationship work", calling Rebecca '"the right person", Bailey later said: "We have found that love that people do strive for."
