The next series of I’m A Celebrity may be a while away, with Emmerdale’s Danny Miller still the reigning King of the Castle, but hosts Ant and Dec are already thinking about what the next series will look like.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the iconic ITV show was relocated to Gwrych Castle in North Wales for the past two seasons as restrictions meant the show couldn't return to the jungle in Australia.

However, Ant and Dec have insisted that they would love the show to return to Australia in 2022 as they can “torment” the campmates more in the jungle.

The comedic duo appeared on The One Show on 17th February and host Alex Jones seemed just as curious as I'm a Celeb fans to find out whether they would be returning to the jungle this year.

Ant and Dec revealed: "Well the plan is the jungle".Dec quickly commented: "Nothing against Wales," with Ant adding: "We love Wales. But you know, Australia is I'm A Celeb's home and we'd like to get back there - and we can!"

The duo previously told Radio Times at ITV’s Entertainment Schedule Launch: “I think we would like to return to Australia. We had a great time for two years in Wales – we were made to feel really welcome and at home – but its proper home is Australia, so we'd like to get back there for next year if we can.”

They then harshly added: “We can torment them more in Australia.

“It's harder conditions outside and there are all sorts of creepy crawlies in the camp, so it's harder in Australia, definitely.”
