Teddy Swims has been taking the world by storm over the last couple of years. The singer rose to fame after attracting followers on YouTube in back in 2019 where he posted covers of songs. His breakthrough song was 'Lose Control', which was the second single from his debut album 'I've Tried Everything but Therapy (Part 1)', released in 2023.

With massive hits such as 'Lose Control', 'The Door' and 'Bad Dreams', he has now released the second part of his debut album 'I've Tried Everything but Therapy (Part 2)', along with the complete album. In October 2025, Teddy released a song with David Guetta called 'Gone Gone Gone' and is now teasing an upcoming release called 'Break Up In Reverse', so we thought it was a perfect opportunity to get to know him a little more.

Although he is known as Teddy Swims to most people, his stage name is very different from his real name, which isn't even Edward. Teddy Swims' real name is Jaten Collin Dimsdale.

'Lose Control'

'Lose Control' was Teddy's breakthrough song. It was released in June 2023, becoming a Top 5 hit around the world, including reaching Number 2 in the UK and receiving an incredible 5x Platinum certification from the BPI with over 3 million sales.

The song was nominated for several awards, winning two Billboard Music Awards for Top Hot 100 Song and Top Radio Song. 'Lose Control' was also nominated for International Song of The Year at the 2025 BRIT Awards, but the gong went to Chappell Roan's 'Good Luck, Babe!' on the night.

'The Door'

'The Door' was Teddy's follow-up to 'Lose Control' and the song was another commercial success for the singer. Speaking about the song, Teddy revealed: "That song is about saving my own life.

"It was so hard to convince myself of that in the moment, but that’s when my priorities shifted from her to me, to saving myself, to loving myself again. ‘The Door’ is about believing that you’re always going to be ok if you trust in yourself."

'Bad Dreams'

'Bad Dreams' was the first song to be released from the second part to his debut album, 'Therapy'. The song explores deep feelings arising from heartbreak and pain, causing disorientation and insomnia.

The track was certified Gold within a few weeks of its release, and went on to be certified Platinum by the BPI in April 2025, and 2x Platinum a year later in April 2026.

How many albums does he have?

Teddy released his debut album 'I've Tried Everything but Therapy (Part 1)' back in 2023. He has now released the second part to his debut album, it arrived on 24th January 2025. The album is called 'I've Tried Everything but Therapy (Part 2)' and it features his huge hit 'Bad Dreams' and along with 12 other songs.

On 27th June 2025, he also released the complete version of his previous two albums called 'I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy (Complete Edition)'.

When is he going on tour in the UK?

Teddy has now started performing on the UK festival scene, for 2026. He's expected to take to stages with Lauren Spencer Smith and Jordan Rakei, for several festivals and outdoor venues including Belsonic in Belfast, Lytham Festival in Lytham and Live at Powderham in Exeter. It follows his iconic Isle of Wight Festival performance in June 2026.

In 2025, Teddy went on his 'I've Tried Everything But Therapy' tour. It started in Birmingham at the Utilita Arena on 3rd March, including stops in London and Glasgow, culminating in Manchester at Co-op Live on 16th March.

What awards has Teddy won?

In 2025, Teddy was nominated for both a BRIT Award and Grammy Award. Although he didn't win on the night, he performed at the 67th annual Grammy Award ceremony, singing the huge hit 'Lose Control'. Chappell Roan took home Best New Artist, the category in which Teddy was nominated.

In 2024 'Lose Control' won an NRJ Music Award for Most Radio Airplay in France, his debut album also won a Los 40 Music Award, and he picked up Best International Act too.

In the same year his song 'Lose Control' also won him two Billboard Awards for Top Hot 100 Song and Top Radio Song.

At the 68th annual Grammy Awards in February 2026, Teddy scored a Grammy nomination for Best Pop Vocal Album with his breakout project 'I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy (Part 2)'.

At the 2025 BRIT Awards with Mastercard, Teddy put on a great show, performing a medley of 'Bad Dreams', 'Lose Control' and 'The Door'. He opened his performance dressed in a duvet and pillow, singing his 'Bad Dreams', before shedding the quilt to perform the rest of his set.

But it was Teddy's red carpet outfit made of...well, teddies, that was one of the best bits of the BRITs that year. It was quite the look!

Is Teddy Swims married?

Teddy is not currently married, however he is in a relationship with Raiche Wright.

Does he have any children?

He does! In January 2025, Teddy and his partner Raiche announced they were expecting a baby.

The pair shared the lovely news in a joint post on Instagram, writing: 'We can’t wait to meet you baby 🤍✨'.

Then, on 23rd June 2025, the pair welcomed a baby boy, with Teddy and Raiche later sharing a series of now-deleted black and white close-up photos, of their hands holding their new arrival.

James Arthur

James Arthur has announced two dates for Summer 2026. The singer will play in Scarborough and Halifax in July at outdoor venues. He told his fans they would be 'very special shows'.

Lewis Capaldi

In September 2025, just a few days after he started his autumn tour, Lewis Capaldi announced lots of Summer 2026 dates! He then added to these dates after they sold out very quickly. He will tour the UK and Ireland in June, July and August.

Bruno Mars

Bruno Mars has announced 'The Romantic Tour', named after his album of the same name (released in February). The singer will play six dates at Wembley in July 2026.

Pitbull

Pitbull has been announced as the headline act for several gigs for the summer. After the success of his 'Party After Dark Tour' in 2025, he will be returning to the UK for gigs in London, Leeds, Glasgow and Belfast as part of a larger tour including dates in Ireland. The gigs take place across June and July 2026.

Ariana Grande

In August 2025, Ariana Grande announced she would be going on 'The Eternal Sunshine Tour', including five dates in the UK, she quickly added another five, and will now be performing 10 dates at The O2 Arena in London. The singer will be coming to the UK in August 2026.

Westlife

After much excitement and teasing, Westlife revealed they will be playing across the UK in September and October 2026, as part of their 'Westlife 25: The Anniversary World Tour'. The band will start their UK leg in Aberdeen on Tuesday 29th September, before performing across the UK, ending with FIVE dates in Belfast.

Hilary Duff

Hilary Duff has announced 'The Lucky Me Tour' which will see the 'Mature' singer return to the stage in four cities across the UK, Cardiff, London, Manchester and Glasgow this September. The UK leg is part of a world tour which spans seven countries, and starts on 22nd June 2026.

Niall Horan

Niall Horan will be taking his 'Dinner Party' album on tour in September and October 2026. Fans can expect the singer to be performing his old music along with some of his biggest hits. The singer starts his UK tour in Birmingham on 22nd September, before travelling across the UK, ending in London on 2nd October.

The Pussycat Dolls

The Pussycat Dolls have reunited and will be playing a massive 53 dates around the world for their 'PCD Forever Tour', celebrating 20 years since 'Don't Cha' and the release of their debut album 'PCD'. Nicole Scherzinger, Kimberly Wyatt and Ashley Roberts will begin in Birmingham on Tuesday 29th September, ending in London at The O2 Arena on Tuesday 13th October.

Everywhere At Once (2026)

Everywhere At Once is a new nationwide grassroots music festival from Music Venue Trust and The National Lottery, running 26–28 June 2026 in place of the Glastonbury weekend. Hundreds of grassroots venues from Inverness to Penzance will host major artists, touring acts and emerging local talent, bringing curated live music directly into local neighbourhoods. The initiative extends The National Lottery's long-term support for grassroots music, following schemes like Revive Live and United by Music. Audiences can also donate to music charities including War Child, Nordoff and Robbins, Help Musicians UK and Teenage Cancer Trust.

KATSEYE

KATSEYE have announced a huge tour coming up to the UK later this year. The band will start their tour in Dublin on 1st September 2026, before travelling to London and Manchester.

The Script

To celebrate their new album, Irish band The Script are visiting Ireland, the UK, Europe, Asia and Australia with 'The Man In The Arena Tour' from October 2026 to April 2027. The band will play dates in the UK in November!

Gracie Abrams

Gracie Abrams has announced a huge tour with several UK dates in April and May 2027. The singer will be performing in Manchester, Glasgow and London.
