As troubled Katie Price reunites with ex Kris Boyson, insiders reveal he’s been given her mum Amy's blessing to pop the question to rescue her as her life implodes

She’s been at rock bottom after a drink driving arrest, a stint in rehab, yo-yoing between toy boys, reportedly facing bankruptcy and coping with her mother Amy’s terminal lung disease diagnosis.

Now pals say her roller coaster life is about to take another shock turn as Kris Boyson, 30 – who moved back in with Katie last week following a brief split when she dumped him for millionaire businessman, 25-year-old Alex Adderson - is preparing to pop the question after Amy convinced him that it would save her troubled daughter.

Despite an initially frosty first meeting when Katie first introduced the pair on her show My Crazy Life, pals say Amy overcame her initial fears and built a close bond with the personal trainer.

He devoted hours to training with her grandson - Katie's eldest child, Harvey, 16 - who suffers from numerous disabilities which saw his weight hit 22st.

Speaking to Closer magazine, a source has said, "Ever since Katie dumped Kris in September, Amy’s been working behind the scenes to get them back together as she believes he’s the only one who can pull her out of self-destruct mode.

"Amy trusts Kris and believes he genuinely cares about Kate's well-being, so when he said he’d do anything to save her - even if that meant asking her to marry him - Amy immediately gave him her blessing to pop the question."

They added, "She said having another wedding to focus on and the security of marriage would help her move on from all this wild behaviour."
