Corrie's Sam Aston reveals baby number two is a girl 👶

Coronation Street legend Sam Aston announced the lovely news back in October that he's going to be a dad for the second time - with his wife Briony becoming pregnant just 14 months after the pair welcomed baby Sonny into the world. Now, the pair have revealed that baby number two is a girl!
Speaking to OK!, Sam shared the lovely news that he and his wife Briony are expecting a baby girl in May 2022, saying: "I could see us having another boy, so it was a really nice surprise. I was quite shocked. I don’t know why, because it’s a 50/50 chance!"
The 28-year-old also continued: "There are twins in Briony’s family, so when we went in I was a bit nervous and said 'There’s definitely only one in there, right?' He said, 'There’s only one!' and then told us it was a girl!"
The happy couple revealed that they feel "lucky" that they will have "one of each", however laughed that having two children under the age of two will be "complete chaos".
Sam, who has played the infamous role of Chesney Brown in the ITV soap since 2003, announced the couple's exciting news on social media back in October, sharing a super cute snap of his son holding a board which reads: 'We're adding another pumpkin to our patch! Due Spring 2022'. (sic)
Sam's soap star pals were quick to congratulate him and Briony. Brooke Vincent wrote: 'Ahhhhhhhhh congratulations 😘😘😘😘', with Ellie Leach adding: 'ahhhh congrats guys!!! ❤️'.
Sally Ann Matthews then commented: 'Oh my!!! Congratulations to you both x', with Hayley Tamaddon adding: 'Ahhhh huge congratulations 😍😍❤️'. (sic)
Sam and Briony welcomed their first child into the world six weeks early last August, with the couple confirming his arrival on social media at the time.
Sharing a beautiful photo alongside their newborn son at the time, Sam told his followers: 'Welcome to the world little man. Our little ray of sunshine. Sonny James Aston 💙'.
Briony then wrote: 'He calmly entered our world 6 weeks early on 11.08.20 at 5lbs 7oz and we couldn’t be more in love.'
