Chilling teaser trailer for Vigil series three has now been released

While fans are eagerly awaiting Vigil series three, starring Suranne Jones and Rose Leslie as DCI Amy Silva and DI Kirsten Longacre, the BBC have now shared a teaser trailer to get us all excited.
The tense teaser, which is just 30 seconds long, starts with DCI Amy Silva and DI Kirsten Longacre trekking across a snowy landscape, with a rifle on their backs, looking around as if they're being followed.
As the sound of wind can be heard, a man's voice says: "In the Arctic you don't understand what's coming..."

The third series of Vigil is set to return to our TV screens later this year, for six one-hour episodes. A synopsis for the series reads: 'DCI Amy Silva (Suranne Jones) and DI Kirsten Longacre (Rose Leslie) return for a new case that takes them to a remote Arctic research station, where a member of a covert British special forces mission has been shot dead.
'Amy and Kirsten will need to catch the killer and defuse a potential international confrontation, driven by a land-grab for energy and resources in the changing polar climate, with both their careers and relationship on the line.'
Speaking of her return to the cast, Suranne said: "I can't wait to return to Vigil series three, see our brilliant team in Scotland and work with Rose again. I'm sure it will be a thrill of a ride."
And Rose added: "I can’t wait to get stuck into another season of Vigil, to work with the wonderful Suranne Jones again and our brilliant crew. And this time, Kirsten will get to pack her bags and join Amy on what's set to be Vigil's most high-stakes mission yet!"

It was filmed in Svalbard and Scotland.
When will it be released?
The release date has not yet been announced, but the BBC have said it will return 'later this summer'.
