Rick Astley confirms new remastered album is coming soon

Rick Astley first appeared on the music scene with his debut hit 'Never Gonna Give You Up' back in 1987, and since then he's had many Top 10 hits, including 'Whenever You Need Somebody', 'When I Fall in Love', and 'Together Forever'.

Now, the singer who is still touring 35 years later, has announced he will be releasing a remastered version of his debut Number 1 album, 'Whenever You Need Somebody'.

Taking to Instagram to share the exciting news, Rick shared the album artwork, along with some photos of the inserts and CDs, saying: 'After 35 years, I’m excited to release a remastered edition of my debut album 'Whenever You Need Somebody'. It’s out on May 6th, info & pre-order link in my bio. Who'd have thought! Rick ♥️ #WYNS2022'.

The album, which has already been remastered once, back in 2010, will include the original 10 tracks. There will also be a remastered deluxe edition featuring two discs, with a total of 17 songs on the first disc, including some reimagined versions, with 14 mixes of this songs on the second.

Both versions of the album are available to pre-order and will be released on 6th May 2022.

To celebrate this announcement, Rick has also released a remastered version of the music video for his song' Together Forever' in 4K. Comparing the original with the remastered version Rick wrote on Instagram: 'To celebrate the announcement of the Whenever You Need Somebody remastered edition, the video for Together Forever has been lovingly restored from the original film and is now available in 4K! Link in my Instagram Story - Rick x #WYNS2022'.
