Lewis discovered that Doctor Who star Peter is his grandad’s first cousin, and he even enlisted the help of Peter to star in his music video for his hit song 'Someone You Loved', which was made in partnership with charity organisation Live Life Give Life in order to raise awareness for the issue of organ donation.

Speaking at the time, Lewis said: "Despite being related, prior to the video I’d only met Peter once when he came along to a show of mine in London last year. It was such a massive honour getting to work with him and director Phil Beastall over the two days we shot. He’s absolutely incredible in the video and I’m so proud of how it turned out."

Speaking about correcting people on how to pronounce their last name, Lewis told us: "I think it sounds quite brash when I say it. He looks a bit wise, and he's very polite, it doesn't sound as bad coming from him. I sound like a petulant child when I say it."

Lewis once wrote in a now-deleted tweet that he is 5ft10.

What's his net worth?

In 2019, Lewis was reported to be worth a whopping $10 million! But he quickly put those rumours to bed in a hilarious Instagram video. He said: "So I have a day off in Cincinnati, I thought for a laugh I'd Google it and see what the Internet says about my net worth.

"It says according to Forbes and Wikipedia, Lewis Capaldi's estimated net worth is $10million. I have less than £200 in my bank right now!"

He also told us: "The false net worth. I would probably eat loads of bags of crisps and Haribo, Wagamama's... I would say give it to charity but that’s a lie, I would pay my taxes and then I would live out life. That’s it, it's a humble life, pottering on me and my $10 million dollars!"

However, it turns out Lewis is worth quite a bit! In November 2021, the Scottish singer was listed on heat's Rich List, with an estimated £17 million. In the 2022 edition, he was estimated to have shot up to £20.3 million, expected to be mostly from the royalties of his first album and specifically, 'Someone You Loved'.

In heat's rich list 2025, Lewis was reported to be worth a whopping £35 million!
