We're just a few months away from the Royal wedding between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, and now Kensington Palace has revealed some details of who will be invited to share the special day with the couple.
Away from the speculation of celebrity guests such as the Spice Girls, Elton John and Ed Sheeran, it turns out the couple would like to invite quite a few members of the public!
In a statement released on Twitter it says 'Prince Harry and Ms. Meghan Markle have said they want their Wedding Day to be shaped so as to allow members of the public to feel part of the celebrations too. This wedding, like all weddings, will be a moment of fun and joy that will reflect the characters and values of the Bride and Groom.'
It goes on to explain how 2,640 people will be invited into the grounds of Windsor Castle to watch the arrivals of the Bride and Groom, made up of the following:
1,200 members of the public from every corner of the United Kingdom will be nominated to attend by nine regional Lord Lieutenant offices. The couple has asked that the people chosen are from a broad range of backgrounds and ages, including young people who have shown strong leadership, and those who have served their communities.
200 people from a range of charities and organisations which Prince Harry and Ms. Markle have a close association with, including those which Prince Harry serves as Patron.
100 pupils from two local schools: The Royal School, Great Park, Windsor and St George's School, Windsor Castle – both of which have a strong affiliation with the Windsor Castle community.
610 Windsor Castle community members, including residents of Windsor Castle and members of the St George's Chapel community.
530 Members of The Royal Households and Crown Estate.
Looks like we'll have to wait a little longer to find out who from the celebrity world will be attending the couple's big day!
Our invite is in the post right?

This news comes a few weeks after the timings for the Royal wedding were revealed. There was much speculation as to clash between the Royal wedding and the FA Cup final, also planned to take place on the same day. Details released by Kensington Palace revealed that the Royal wedding will take place from midday, meaning it should be finished by the time the FA Cup final kicks off - usually at 5.30pm.
After the ceremony at midday, the couple will take a Carriage Procession from St George's Chapel through Windsor Town returning to Windsor Castle along the Long Walk at 1pm. This will be followed by a reception for the guests, with a private reception later in the evening with close friends and family.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will marry at St. George's Chapel in Windsor Castle on 19th May.
