Pitbull has become somewhat of a legend since his 2009 banger 'I Know You Want Me' hit Number 4 in the UK chart, propelling him to fame. But nothing prepared us for the iconic moment hundreds of fans turned up to his 2025 'Party After Dark Tour' wearing suits and bald caps in homage to the rapper.

With the perfect recipe to take any party up a notch, Pitbull's songs have become a must on any playlist — and they'll stick around in your head afterwards too. From 'Timber' to 'Give Me Everything', he's given us tune after tune! Now that the rapper has announced more UK dates across the Summer of 2026, here's everything there is to know about the self-appointed Mr Worldwide...

Who is Pitbull?

Pitbull is an American rapper and singer who rose to fame in the noughties, first with huge hit 'I Know You Want Me', followed by a succession of bangers with notable artists, including 'Timber' featuring Kesha and 'Give Me Everything' with Ne-Yo!

What is Pitbull's real name?

His real name is Armando Christian Pérez.

When is his birthday?

Pitbull was born on 15th January 1981, making him 44-years-old at the time of writing.

Where is Pitbull from?

Pitbull was born in Miami, Florida to Cuban parents.

What are his biggest songs?

'Give Me Everything' (featuring Ne-Yo, Afrojack and Nayer)

Going to Number 1 in eight countries, including the UK, 'Give Me Everything' featuring Ne-Yo, Afrojack and Nayer is a certified banger — going 3x Platinum here! Released in 2011, the song includes the iconic lyrics: 'Me not working hard? / Yea right picture that with a Kodak / And better yet, go to Times Square / Take a picture of me with a Kodak / Took my life from negative to positive / And I just want y'all know that / And tonight, let's enjoy life.'

'Don't Stop The Party' (featuring TJR)

If you haven't hollered 'I said, y'all having a good time out there?' once or twice then where've you even been. Pitbull's catchphrases have echoed across dance floors up and down the country since the noughties, and this particular tune is no exception. 'Don't Stop The Party' went to Number 7 in the UK when it was released in 2012 — and it's since been certified Gold.

'I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)'

As well as providing us with music, Pitbull's taught us a thing or two about Spanish too! His first big hit 'I know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)' switches between the two languages throughout. And although we're not always sure what we're singing, most of us have busted out those lyrics in our time. You might remember the words:

'It's Mr. 305 checkin' in for the remix / You know that is 75 Street Brazil? / Well this here is gon' be called "Calle Ocho" / Hahahaha / ¿Qué bola Cata, qué bola Omega? / And this how we gon' do it, dale / One, two, three, four / Uno, do', tres, cuatro.'

'Timber' (featuring Kesha)

Probably one of his most iconic releases, 2013's 'Timber' featuring 'Tik Tok' singer Kesha went to Number 1 in five countries and has been certified 4x Platinum in the UK.

Aside from Pitbull's memorable rap in which he declares 'I'm slicker than an oil spill', the song is known for Kesha's chorus: 'It's goin' down, I'm yellin' timber / You better move, you better dance / Let's make a night you won't remember / I'll be the one you won't forget.'

'Fireball' (featuring John Ryan)

Although it wasn't a huge hit upon release in 2014, 'Fireball' had a rebirth 10 years later when it became a massive Tik Tok trend, particularly for The Famileigh, who shared multiple versions of their family dancing to the track in unison.

The song, which features John Ryan, has been certified Platinum in the UK and has had 397 million views on YouTube to date.

'Feel This Moment' (featuring Christina Aguilera)

In 2013 Pitbull joined forces with 'Genie In A Bottle' singer Christina Aguilera to release 'Feel This Moment'. The track went to Number 5 in the chart and has since been certified Platinum.

You may remember Pitbull opens the song with: 'Ask for money and get advice, huh / Ask for advice, get money twice, huh / I'm from the dirty, huh, but that chico nice, ha / Y'all call it a moment, I call it a life' while Christina sings: 'One day while my light is glowin' / I'll be in my castle golden / But until the gates are open / I just wanna feel this moment.'

Who has Pitbull collaborated with?

As well as working with Kesha, Christina Aguilera and Ne-Yo as mentioned above, Pitbull has also collaborated with Shakira, Lil Jon, Akon, Chris Brown, Enrique Inglesias, Jennifer Lopez, Jason Derulo, Leona Lewis, Nile Rodgers, Bon Jovi, Sean Paul, Usher, Flo Rida, Shaggy, Taio Cruz and Ricky Martin! Quite the catalogue.

Is Pitbull on tour?

Yes, although he finished his 'Party After Dark Tour' in 2025, he has now announced more UK dates for Summer 2026. Pitbull will perform in Leeds, London, Glasgow and Belfast next summer. In Leeds and London he will be supported by Kesha.

Shaggy was Pitbull's special guest on his 'Party After Dark Tour'. It was a very memorable tour after hundreds of fans turned up to the O2 in London dressed in suits and bald caps! Epic.

Pitbull also toured between 2023 and 2024 alongside Enrique Iglesias and Ricky Martin, as part of their 'Trilogy Tour'.

Awards and nominations

Pitbull's bagged himself a whole host of awards and nominations, including winning a Grammy in 2016 for Best Latin Rock, Urban or Alternative Album for 'Dale' and a Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards Colombia for Favourite Collaboration for 'Hey Ma' in 2017.

He's also been nominated for more MTV VMAs, People's Choice Awards and Billboard awards (to name a few) than we can count on our fingers and toes.

In 2019, Pitbull was honoured with a Golden Plate Award by the American Academy of Achievement for his successes in Arts and Philanthropy.
