Luca's sister shares statement as Love Island fans express concern about him

Fishmonger Luca Bish was the cheeky chappy Islander during the eighth series of Love Island in 2022, but his behaviour since he returned to the Love Island: All Stars villa has left fans a little concerned.

Since he entered the South African villa during the series two launch show earlier this month, Luca has seemed a little down, with the 25-year-old also having a little cry during the episode on Monday 20th January, after new bombshell Tina Stinnes didn't couple up with him.

Many fans have commented on Luca's behaviour, with many wondering if he really wants to be taking part in the show for a second time.

One wrote: 'luca looks so depressed, I've never seen someone hate being in love island so much', with another adding: 'Luca doesn’t seem like himself wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up leaving early'. (sic)

A third added: 'I am convinced Luca is only in here for the money. He looks bored as hell #LoveIsland #AllStars'. (sic)

Jumping to his defence, Luca's sister Claudia, who is in charge of his social media during his stay in the villa, has now responded to concerns from fans.

She wrote: 'I definitely don't think it's that he "doesn't want to be there" at all. I think it's just a case of him knowing he's not got a romantic connection with anyone in there as of yet, whereas everyone else has gone pretty head first quite quickly.

'I watch the show like a HAWK and pick up on the little shots of him messing around and laughing with them all in the background of different scenes which is so reassuring. He is still bringing the one liners - we can't all smiles 24/7'. (sic)

Other fans of the show have commented on how 'mature' and 'grown-up' Luca has been during the first week, in comparison to his time on the show back in 2022, where he left with Michael Owen's daughter Gemma.

Someone wrote on X: 'Luca the most mature this season and respectful ? #LoveIsland', with another adding: 'Luca has grown so much since being off love island and it’s very telling. He went from someone i can’t stand to probably the realist person in that villa, i hope he gets the woman he deserves'. (sic)

During the launch show on Monday 13th January, a public vote paired Luca with Olivia Hawkins, but the pair failed to find any connection, leading to Olivia to move on with Marcel Sommerville. Luca was then the last boy to pick during the first recoupling, which resulted in him pairing with Kaz Crossley by default.

Despite enjoying a date with bombshell Tina Stinnes, the series two Islander chose to steal Scott Thomas from India Reynolds, leaving Luca feeling a little emotional.

However, now Grace Jackson has entered the villa, could Luca's luck be about to change?
