Before the official line-up for the launch show began to be unveiled, rumours were rife for months as to which singletons would be joining the series, in an attempt to find love like past contestants such as Millie Court and Liam Reardon, Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury, and Olivia and Alex Bowen.
Michael Owen's daughter Gemma Owen, Zara McDermott's brother Brad McDermott, and Geordie girl Kat Harrison were all rumoured, but only Gemma entered.
Love Island will return in 2023.
