Celebrity Traitor delivers 'incredible' exit speech as faithfuls get their first catch

Traitor, Jonathan Ross, shocked the faithfuls in last night's dramatic episode of The Celebrity Traitors, as he delivered a brilliant exit speech after being banished from the castle. The broadcaster is the first traitor to be correctly discovered in the record-breaking series - and it comes as no surprise that he chose to leave in style.

After receiving six votes, including from both of his fellow traitors, Jonathan told contestants: "I've got no idea what everyone's doing wrong. I can't believe you've done it again. I can't believe that I'm standing here for no good reason. I don't want to be rude but - you're idiots! I'm not judging, because it's fiendish - I'm not blaming the players, I'm blaming the game.

"I am now, and have been all through the game, completely faithful... to the Traitors!"

Remaining faithfuls Celia Imrie, Joe Marler, Nick Mohammed, Kate Garroway and David Olusoga all looked visibly shocked, believing they'd got it wrong again, before Jonathan delivered his final line, revealing he was in fact a traitor!

Former Rugby Union player, Joe Marler, responded by calling it 'the most ridiculous bow out ever'!

Jonathan's banishment had looked inevitable in recent episodes, with many believing in the "big dog theory", assuming either ousted faithful Stephen Fry, or Jonathan, were running the show up in the traitor's turret. After Stephen's exit last week, it was no surprise the traitors went for Jonathan. But fans WERE shocked his own teammates, Alan Carr and Cat Burns, turned on him too.

One wrote on social media: 'Love how Cat threw him under the bus, and the way he wound everyone up with his exit speech. How juicy!' While another said: 'What an incredible exit speech JR 🎤🎉❤️👏.'

Although many viewers were shocked, Jonathan said he was "glad" Alan voted for him. Speaking to the camera after his banishment, he said: "They got me but I'm kind of relieved and I'm glad that Alan went for me as well.

"We have been traitors all the way through, but I'm hoping just out of honour for the departed older member of the family that they will stick together and romp off to victory."

There's just one week to go until The Celebrity Traitors final airs on Thursday 6th November.
