The Gavin and Stacey reunion saga continues, we can’t keep up with the cast of the show, who all seem to have a different view on the hit show’s potential return.

Ruth Jones admitted that there were no plans for the shows return on the cards, which devastated fans.

However, this was then followed by James Corden, who played Smithy and wrote the show with Ruth, confessing that he would love to return to the show, but confirmed it isn’t something they are working on right now.

Well the plot thickens, as Alison Steadman who plays Gavin’s mum Pam, in the hit show has revealed she is ‘waiting to hear’ about a potential Gavin and Stacey Christmas special.

When Alison was asked about a possible Christmas Special on BBC Morning Live on Thursday (10th December), the actress said, “Well look, this announcement’s been made but James and Ruth haven’t said anything to us and everything’s very quiet.”

Alison then added, “They’ve obviously got to write this thing, which is an enormous task, so, honestly we don’t know. We’re waiting to hear like everyone else.”

One positive to take from this is that Alison is up for returning to our screens as Pam, the actress revealed that when Ruth Jones contacted her last year about the Christmas Special, she was left ‘breathless’ with excitement.
