Post Malone has just broken a record previously held by the King of Pop, Michael Jackson! The American rapper's debut album, 'Stoney' originally released back in 2016, has just spent its 77th week in the Top 10 of the US Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, a record previously held by the iconic album 'Thriller' by Michael Jackson, released back in 1983.

Despite this very impressive feat, Billboard have been quick to explain the methodology for tracking albums has changed a lot since the days of 'Thriller', especially with the advent of streaming, saying, "Listeners’ repeated streams of Stoney songs have contributed to the album’s ranking each week...for Thriller, its pre-streaming era release means that fans likely bought the album only once, and thus helped its ranking for only that single week of purchase."

On its release, 'Stoney' entered the US Billboard 200 at Number 6 and then peaked at Number 4. The album also reached Number 10 in the UK, as well as spawning a number of singles including, 'Congratulations' featuring Quavo and 'I Fall Apart'.

Since releasing 'Stoney', Post Malone has followed it up with his second album, 'Beerbongs & Bentleys' released this year. This album has been even more successful going to Number 1 in the UK and it includes his Number 1 single 'Rockstar' featuring 21 Savage and 'Psycho' featuring Ty Dolla Sign.

Now take a look at all the other big collabs we've had this year...
