There are plenty of names doing the rounds

As fans of James Bond will know, the most recent film in the franchise, No Time To Die, hit cinemas back in 2021. Since THAT bombshell ending, we've all been thinking forwards to the next film - from who will play 007, to who will sing the title track.

When it comes to the coveted soundtrack, rumours have been well and truly swirling for quite some time, and there are pretty big shoes to fill after Billie Eilish's haunting performance on 'No Time To Die'.

Who is the favourite to sing the next Bond theme song?

In the past, we've had HUGE names such as Adele, Sam Smith and Billie Eilish bring us incredible theme songs - 'Skyfall', 'Writing's On The Wall' and 'No Time To Die'. Off the back of her many award wins this season, it's sounding as though Olivia Dean could be next to take it on.

The 'Man I Need' hitmaker took home three BRIT Awards and Best New Artist at the GRAMMY Awards in early 2026, with her second album 'The Art of Loving' going Number 1 in the UK the previous year - making her not only supremely talented but also hugely popular, too.

However, 'Where Is My Husband!' singer RAYE is still a favourite to take the job - and with her March 2026 track 'Nightingale Lane' showing off her operatic chops, she's shown the range to give the newest film a powerhouse theme.

We've also got Harry Styles in the running - having taken a year or so away from the spotlight, he returned in full force in January 2026 with his uplifting dance track 'Aperture' and his fourth album 'Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally' in March 2026, making him a potential candidate.

Dua Lipa and Chappell Roan's names are also doing the rounds, as well as Lana Del Rey, Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus and even Oasis. Sam Fender's also persisting, after winning the prestigious Mercury Prize for his album 'People Watching'.

Although no details about the next Bond film have been confirmed just yet, we've gathered together a list of the artists rumoured to be singing the next title track - as well as a few that we just think would be perfect!

James Bond rumours: Who will sing the next theme song?

Olivia Dean

Fresh off the back of her three BRIT Award wins and taking home Best New Artist at the GRAMMY Awards all in early 2026, it's no surprise that Olivia Dean is a favourite to take on the role of performing the next James Bond theme song. Her silky smooth vocals and incredible songwriting talents peg her as the perfect person to take it on, especially after the success of her Number 1 album 'The Art of Loving'.

Sam Fender

After his debut album 'Hypersonic Missiles' flew to the Number 1 spot back in 2019, Sam Fender hasn't failed to impress us since. Releasing his Mercury Prize-winning third record 'People Watching' in February 2025, he now has three Number 1 albums under his belt. With a strong collection of awards to go with it, it's no surprise that Sam is one of the favourites to perform the next Bond track.

RAYE

With such gorgeous and wide-ranging vocal abilities, RAYE is actually a hugely talented songwriter too - so her potential involvement in the next James Bond film would make perfect sense. It sounds as though RAYE herself is up for it as well, apparently revealing in October 2025: "Would I do it? Uhhhh, yeah, obviously. I'm available. Call me up, send me an email, DM, text, however you'd like to approach me... The answer is yes."

Dua Lipa

With worldwide hits such as 'One Kiss' and 'Dance The Night', and the roaring success of her more recent tracks like 'Houdini' and 'Training Season', it comes as no surprise that fans are desperate to hear Dua Lipa perform a Bond track. With sultry vocals and a clear talent for mastering various genres, there's no denying that Dua would make an incredible Bond theme.

Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus has been releasing hits since she was a teenager, and throughout her fruitful career has provided us with huge tracks such as 'Wrecking Ball', 'Midnight Sky', 'Prisoner' and 'Mother's Daughter'. Following the release of her GRAMMY Award-winning track 'Flowers', the singer has been lined up as one of the bookies' favourites to bag the next Bond theme.

Sabrina Carpenter

Shooting to superstardom with hit songs like 'Nonsense', 'Feather', 'Espresso' and 'Please Please Please', Sabrina Carpenter quickly became a household name, with plenty of fans keen to hear her take on the honourable role of singing the next Bond theme.

Lana Del Rey

Known for incredible songs such as 'Summertime Sadness', 'National Anthem' and 'Video Games', Lana's soothing and mysterious voice would be perfect for a James Bond theme song.

Chappell Roan

'Good Luck, Babe' and 'Pink Pony Club' megastar Chappell Roan has dominated the charts since 2024, so it's no surprise that the singer has been named on the rumoured lists for the role of singing the next Bond theme.

Lorde

Huge hits such as 'Royals' and 'Tennis Court' put Lorde on the map, as well as the epic release of her 2021 album 'Solar Power'. After her stormed the charts with her Charli XCX collab, it's clear she could give something a little bit different to a James Bond theme song.

Lewis Capaldi

Lewis Capaldi topped the charts with his incredible second album in 2023, and returned to the music scene in 2025 after some time away with 'Survive' and 'Something In The Heavens'. Maybe he can get his creative juices flowing and fit some time in for a quick Bond theme?

Elton John

Surprisingly enough, the legendary Sir Elton John has never sang a James Bond theme song. Could the next Bond film be the 'Rocketman' singer's time to shine?

Harry Styles

Since leaving his X Factor formed band One Direction, Harry Styles has gone from one success to another - releasing his fourth album 'Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally' in March 2026. We couldn't think of anything better than a Bond theme from this chap.

Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga is a force to be reckoned with, releasing her highly-anticipated album 'Mayhem' in March 2025, just months after her Joker: Folie à Deux companion album 'Harlequin' - a film she starred in, by the way. It's clear this singer/songwriter/actress' talents are pretty much endless - and her voice would undeniably lend itself to a new Bond track.

Taylor Swift

The list of iconic tracks released by Taylor Swift is endless - and she knows a business opportunity when she sees one, having re-recorded her classic albums. Why not throw a Bond theme song in the mix?!

Beyoncé

Aah - the age old dream. A popular contender for the Bond theme pretty much every time round, maybe we'll finally hear Beyoncé sing the title track for the next film.

Ellie Goulding

In November 2023, it was revealed that Ellie Goulding was one of the favourites to voice the upcoming theme song for the next Bond film.

Ed Sheeran

A stalwart of the pop music genre, we've heard huge tunes from Ed Sheeran time and time again. With legendary - and record-breaking - tunes such as 'Shape Of You' and 'Perfect' under his belt, why not add a Bond theme to his repertoire too? It appears that Ed is ready and rearing to go, revealing on The Late Late Show back in 2017: "I've had a theme tune written for about three years. I'm not going to say (the title) because someone might steal it, but it's good."

Lil Nas X

Hey, never say never! After the roaring success of Lil Nas X's tracks 'Old Town Road' and 'Panini', as well as his huge debut album 'MONTERO', many may call him a Bond theme wildcard, but stranger things have happened!

Duran Duran

Could 'Girls On Film' legends Duran Duran also be in the running? The band appeared on This Morning and gushed over Billie Eilish and her work on 'No Time To Die', admitting that they would love to record the next Bond theme, having already performed for the 14th James Bond film, A View to a Kill.
