Drake is no stranger to a public romance. We've seen him linked to a few famous ladies over the years. His love life has been a major influence on his music, the good and the bad.

And while the Canadian rapper is currently single, who has Drake dated - and when? We've taken a look back through Drake's relationship history - and we're pretty sure there'll be a couple that surprise you...

Have Drake and Jennifer Lopez dated?

Drake was rumoured to be dating pop star Jennifer Lopez after getting cosy together at multiple events (and on Instagram of course). The pair seemed to be the real deal in 2016/2017, but it seemed to slowly fizzle out.

Have Drake and Rihanna dated?

Drake and Rihanna had supposedly been dating on and off since 2009 after her split from Chris Brown. The pair have never actually confirmed their exclusivity, but Drake let it slip at the 2016 MTV VMAs that he has been in love with her since he was 22-years-old. That’s a long time, Drake!

Have Drake and Serena Williams dated?

While the couple didn't make it down the aisle, Drake did reveal in 2015 to Complex, "I really, really love and care for Serena Williams. She's incredible. That's someone I'm proud to say I know." Aw! They were also spotted kissing in a restaurant in the same year. Of course, Serena is now married to her husband Alexis Ohanian and they share baby daughter Alexis Jr together.

Have Drake and Nicki Minaj dated?

It all started in 2010 when Drake rapped: 'I love Nicki Minaj / I told her I'd admit it / I hope one day we get married just to say we did it.'

Twitter users everywhere then went crazy back in 2010 when Drake tweeted, ‘Please refer to @nickiminaj as Mrs. Aubrey Drake Graham and dont stare at her too long. She's finally mine. :)‘ sic

He even called her his "ideal woman," adding that she's someone he could "spend his life with" - however, in 2013, Drake rapped on his 'Take Care' album to say that he and Nicki had fallen out and were no longer speaking.

Thankfully, the pair made up and he appeared in her raunchy music video for 'Anaconda' in 2014. So, although neither have ever confirmed it, the pair have always been close.

Have Drake and Bella Hadid dated?

There were rumours flying around in summer 2017 that Drake and Bella Hadid were dating after they were spotted partying together. Apparently, they left the venue separately but both got into two of Drake's cars... However, Bella has since been linked to her ex-boyfriend, The Weeknd.

Have Drake and Tika Sumpter dated?

American actress Tika claims that the pair went on a date before he made it big in music industry, and just went by plain old Aubrey (his real name). Drake wanted her to listen to what he was working on, and she heard it all before everyone else. Lucky girl!

Have Drake and Tyra Banks dated?

Drake must have some real charm to bag a fun-filled date with the woman behind America’s Next Top Model. The pair have more than a 10-year gap, but that didn't stop them heading to Disneyland together. They kept in touch over the years as Tyra played a love interest in the visuals to his song ‘Childs Play’ in 2016.

Have Drake and Kat Dennings dated?

Unfortunately for Drake, American actress Kat Dennings didn’t call him back after dinner.

In an interview, Drake said, “I just always had a huge crush on Kat Dennings and she was kind enough one night to oblige me and we went out for dinner. They don’t call me back after one date according to this."

Drake tweeted about Kat, saying, 'Kat Dennings I just woke up out of bed to let you know you were a dime on Conan tonight. XO.'

We guess the charm doesn't work on everyone!

Does Drake have a child?

He does! Drake has a son named Adonis, born on 11th October 2017, and his mother is French painter Sophie Brussaux. Drake confirmed he was Adonis' father on his 2018 album 'Scorpion' in lyrics on 'Emotionless'.

The lyrics are: 'I wasn’t hiding my kid from the world, I was hiding the world from my kid... / Breaking news in my life I don’t run to the blogs / The only ones I want to tell are in my phone I can call / They always ask, ‘Why let it run if it’s false’ / You know a wise man once said nothing at all.'
