Love Island's Chris Hughes speaks out over Olivia Attwood split rumours

Chris has stopped the rumours

Published 8th Aug 2017

Everything seemed to be going well for Love Island couple Chris Hughes and Olivia Attwood until the Essex girl was spotted getting close to another man over the weekend.

After tons of rumours emerging that Chris had dumped his girlfriend over her behaviour, the lovable reality star has now hit back and confirmed he is still very much in a relationship with Olivia.

Posting a snap on his Instagram holding Olivia's hand, Chris admitted he'd been with his girl all day supporting her and added she has been a 'princess' to him since they returned to the UK.

He wrote, 'Come to support my girl on her new project, exciting opportunity for her! Proud of how far she's come in this short space of time, deserves every opportunity that comes her way. Regarding other aspect of today, manipulation is powerful in the public eye. She's been a princess to me ever since we landed back in the UK, and I don't blame people for judging as it's the world we live in, but understand I'm not naive to this situation. Unfortunately Olivia put herself in this position unintentionally, nobody understands the situation like ourselves, and that's the main point behind today. đź‘«'

Chris' message arrived just a few hours after Olivia attempted to diffuse the situation on her own Twitter account.

Despite tweeting the message, 'Just for the record. Chris and I were together Saturday night. So everyone can just relax', fans weren't convinced she was telling the truth, with one user even sharing the snap causing all of the drama.

It has now been confirmed that the man in the photo was in fact Olivia's ex-boyfriend, Blackburn Rovers footballer Bradley Deck.

Despite Chris and Olivia'a drama from the show seemingly carrying on in the outside world, it seems they are both still happy in their relationship with each other.

Unfortunately that can't be said for all of this year's Love Island couples, earlier today Montana Brown confirmed her split with fellow Islander Alex Beattie. The Pretty Little Things ambassador revealed things have been 'hard' since they left the show.

Alex Beattie and Montana Brown

From the moment they left the villa, Alex and Montana were faced with numerous rumours that they'd not continued their romance outside of the show.

Unlike the other couples, the pair haven't been spotted attending events together and have kept loved up snaps of each other to a complete minimum in the last week.

And as Montana prepares to become clothing brand Pretty Little Things' brand new ambassador, Alex has signed a modelling deal with Boohoo Men, leaving the pair with very little time on their hands for a romance.

Montana has now confirmed her split with Alex after admitting it has been 'hard' on the outside world. Despite the split, the pair have remained friends.
