Laura has spoken

Although they'd split, things looked like they were amicable between former Love Island star Laura Anderson and actor Gary Lucy, with the pair announcing they were expecting a baby together earlier this month.

However, things seemingly took a sour twist earlier this week when Laura deleted all trace of the Hollyoaks actor from her baby announcement post, editing her caption to say 'Baby Anderson', instead of the original 'Baby Lucy'.

After fans noticed the change, Scottish girl Laura has now released a new statement, explaining all about the tricky situation...

Taking to her Instagram Story, Laura wrote: 'I had no intention to comment on the breakdown of my relationship with Gary. However, due to what has now been publicly shared by other parties, I have been left with no other choice.

'Gary and I are no longer together due to multiple reasons which will remain private. Our plan was for me to move to Essex to start our family which I was more than happy to do.

'However, since the breakdown of our relationship I have remained at home in Scotland. My priority is bringing my baby up in a calm and stable environment.

'I never asked or expected Gary to move to Scotland. I fully support him living in Essex to be close to his four amazing children.

'I am fully focused on having a healthy, happy pregnancy and remain excited to share this incredible journey with you all.

'Thank you so much for you support! Laura, Buddy & Bump.' (sic)

Sharing an Instagram Reel showing off her bump, attending scans, and Gary's reaction to the news, Laura initially wrote: 'My heart is full 🫶🏼 Baby Lucy due Summer ‘23’. However, after Gary publicly spoke about the pair's split to a national newspaper, Laura has now changed the caption to read: 'My heart is full 🫶🏼 Baby Anderson due Summer ‘23 🤰🏼', as well as turning comments off.

Although it looks like things are sour right now, hopefully the pair can become amicable in the future.
