Jade Thirlwall reveals unusual way she met boyfriend Jordan Stephens
How very 2020!
Last updated 27th Nov 2020
Although 2020 has been a year to forget for many, it seems it's been the year of love for the Little Mix girls! As well as Perrie Edwards hinting she's ready for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to propose, Leigh-Anne Pinnock's boyfriend Andre Gray did just that, with an AMAZING ring, and both Jesy Nelson and Jade Thirlwall started dating new men.
Jade, who went public with her boyfriend - none other than Rizzle Kicks star Jordan Stephens in October, has now confessed the unusual way of how the pair met, and it's perhaps the most 2020 thing we've ever heard.
Speaking during Saturday's (21st November) episode of The Jonathan Ross Show, Jade revealed she slid into the singer's DMs, before enjoying a number of Zoom dates.
She said, “I met someone in lockdown. We met on Zoom. I slid into the DMs. Then we had some Zoom dates. No I didn’t know him before lockdown. I’m not a very lovey dovey person. It was through a friend. I slid in the DMs. I’d been doing this for quite a while. I kept getting pied left, right and centre."
The South Shields born singer then added, "Jordan and I did a few Zoom dates in lockdown. We made a joke and said it was business and put suits and ties on and asked each other questions. I did the full shebang, a full suit. Then we had a socially distanced date in Greenwich park, apart from each other just chatting.”
Despite the pretty unorthodox way of dating, it sounds like Jade was more than happy, adding, “It’s nice doing it that way, we got to know each other. And I’d thought, if this goes terribly I’ll say the wifi’s gone!”
Little Mix's boyfriends
Whilst Jade Thirlwall is dating Jordan Stephens, love is also in the air for the other three Little Mix girls!
Perrie Edwards gushed about her boyfriend, Liverpool and England footballer Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, as the pair celebrated their fourth anniversary recently. Perrie then hinted she's ready for Alex to propose when she appeared on The Jonathon Ross show in November.
After four years with her footballer boyfriend Andre Gray, Leigh-Anne Pinnock was left delighted when Andre got down on one knee to propose to her during the couple's anniversary in lockdown.
Meanwhile, following her split from Love Island star Chris Hughes earlier this year, Jesy Nelson is now dating Our Girl actor Sean Sagar, with the pair going public with their relationship in October 2020.
