Ed Sheeran is reportedly being lined-up to sing the next James Bond theme tune for Daniel Craig's last outing as 007.

The 28-year-old hit songwriter is allegedly at the forefront of bosses' mind, after he released his latest album, No.6 Collaborations Project, which has gone down amazingly with fans.

It's been reported that Daniel Craig, who plays James Bond, is also very keen to have Ed sing on the track, with a source telling The Sunday Mirror that Daniel is a big Ed fan!

The source said, "Daniel was introduced to Ed’s music by his daughter Ella.

"She loves Ed, and Daniel now really likes his stuff too and wants Ed for the theme tune".

The source went on to say, "Daniel is not just the lead actor on the movie but also one of the producers, so he has huge sway over every aspect".

But this isn't the first Ed has been linked to the iconic James Bond brand, as Ed has previously admitted that he's already written a theme tune for the franchise for if, or when, they ever ask him!

Speaking on The Late Late Show back in 2017, Ed revealed, "I’ve had a theme tune written for about three years. I’m not going to say (the title) because someone might steal it, but it’s good."

If he was to secure the job, Ed would be following in the footsteps of powerhouse singer Adele, who sung the last theme tune 'Skyfall', which won an Oscar AND a Grammy award!

Ed is yet to confirm the news but this would be SO good!
