Cardi B shares sweet post as she welcomes third child with Offset

It's all happening at the moment for 'WAP' rapper Cardi B! After news broke that she was filing for a divorce from her husband Offset for the second time in four years, the rapper has announced the lovely news that she was pregnant, with her now welcoming her third child into the world!
Sharing a sweet series of photos, and a short video, Cardi took to Instagram to announce the news, showing her cradling her new bundle of joy, who was wrapped up in some super cute pink baby clothes. Captioning the post, she gushed: 'The prettiest lil thing 🌸🌸 9/7/24 💖💖💖'. (sic)
Flooding the comments with messages of congratulations, one fan wrote: 'Congratulations 🎉🎈🎊 Queen' (sic), with another adding: 'Welcome baby girl ❤️'. (sic)
With the post raking in almost 8 million likes in 12 hours, it's clear that fans are over the moon for the rapper, who is now a proud mum of three!
Cardi is yet to confirm the baby's name and gender.
When did she announce she was pregnant?
It was back on 1st August 2024 that Cardi B, real name Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, took to Instagram to share stunning photos of herself showing off her bump, whilst draped in a beautiful long red dress.
She told fans: 'With every ending comes a new beginning! I am so grateful to have shared this season with you, you have brought me more love, more life and most of all renewed my power! Reminded me that I can have it all! You’ve reminded me that I never have to choose between life, love, and my passion! I love you so much and can not wait for you to witness what you helped me accomplish, what you pushed me to do! It’s so much easier taking life’s twists, turns and test laying down, but you, your brother and your sister have shown me why it’s worth it to push through!'. (sic)
Although Cardi made no mention of her on/off husband Offset in the post, the pair did already share two children together at the time - six-year old daughter Kulture, and two-year-old son Wave.
Despite 'cheating' rumours in the weeks surrounding the news, something which Offset strongly denies, a source close to the couple has told Page Six the reason for the couple's divorce is due to the fact they've grown apart.
The source said: "They’ve grown apart. That’s what drove her to this decision more than anything else. This is something she wants to do."
Another representative told NBC their divorce "is not based on any one particular incident, it has been a long time coming and is amicable."

After getting married back in September 2017, Cardi B and Offset became one of the hottest couples in the world of music, going on to welcome their daughter Kulture Kiari Cephus a year later.
News then emerged in September 2020 that Cardi had filed for a divorce from the rapper, admitting at the time that their romance was 'irretrievably broken'.
However, the pair seemingly worked things out, going on to welcome their second child together in September 2021, a baby boy called Wave Set Cephus.
As well as Kulture, Wave and their new baby, Offset is also a dad to sons Jordan and Kody, and daughter Kalea from previous relationships.
