Jessie J has revealed her upcoming tour will have to be postponed after discovering she'll need an unexpected second surgery, following her earlier breast cancer diagnosis. The 'Living My Best Life' singer took to social media to announce her October European dates would be moved to April 2026.
She said: "I have to have a second surgery. Nothing too serious, but it has to be done by the end of the year. And unfortunately that falls right in the middle of a tour that I had booked.
"I feel frustrated and sad but also it is what it is."
It comes after Jessie gave fans a positive update, following her first surgery earlier this summer. Sharing a video featuring her beloved son Sky saying "Mummy is going to be OK", Jessie told her followers: 'And…I AM OK
'Results = I have NO cancer spread 😭😭😭
'Happy tears are real 😭😭😭😭😭😭
'Thank YOU for the prayers, the love, the well wishes, the joy and all the positive energy. 🥹 🫀= 🔋🔋🔋🔋🔋🔋🔋🔋
'This video is from the night before my surgery • We called it baby boy. You are my biggest ray of light and with you in my life the darkness will never win. ☁️🌞
'Lots of healing to go and one more surgery to make these cousins look more like sisters. But for now it’s gratitude time and I am changing my name to The LopJess monster 🧟♀️🌶️🍈🍳'. (sic)
Jessie's followers and friends were quick to comment on the uplifting post. One wrote: 'Incredible news ❤️❤️❤️', with another adding: '🙌superwoman xx'. A third then commented: 'Wonderful news, congratulations 🩷🩷🩷 Hope your remaining surgery goes well. Cheers to healing! 🥂'. (sic)
Somebody else commented: 'So bloody amazing.... honestly @jessiej an inspiration ❤️❤️', with another adding: 'Fabulous news!!! ❤️❤️❤️'. (sic)
Jessie first revealed her diagnosis in early June, admitting she wanted to go public in order to show solidarity with others who are going through a similar experience.
In a video she said: "I was diagnosed with early breast cancer. Cancer sucks in any form, but I'm holding on to the word 'early'.
"It's a very dramatic way to get a boob job. I am going to disappear for a bit... to have my surgery, and I will come back with massive t--s and more music.
"I just wanted to be open and share it. One, because, selfishly, I do not talk about it enough. I'm not processing it because I'm working so hard.
"I also know how much sharing in the past has helped me with other people giving me their love and support and also their own stories. I'm an open book. It breaks my heart that so many people are going through so much similar and worse-that's the bit that kills me."
She continued: "The timing of it has been mad but also beautiful and given me this incredible perspective in this time. But honestly I need to process it and talk about it and, I need a hug. You have loved me through all my good and hard times. And I don't want this to be any different."
A few weeks later, Jessie then gave an update after undergoing surgery.
Sharing a photo from her hospital bed alongside a trigger warning for blood, the 37-year-old wrote: '‼️Blood warning‼️This post is some of the honest lows and highs of the last 48 hours. I will always show the good and hard bits of any journey I go through. Grateful to my doctor / surgeon and all the nurses who cared for me and all my family / friends who came to visit. 🫂 I am home now, to rest and wait for my results 🤞🏻
'Chanan is in a nurse outfit. No no, he isn’t, but funny to imagine.
'Still hugging everyone going through something tough right now. We all got this! 🫂🫀🔋'. (sic)
The post also included photos of her boyfriend Chanan Colman caring for her, as well as her adorable two-year-old son Sky visiting her in the hospital.
In another raw video, Jessie can be seen trying to explain to her son how the blood draining out of her breasts was helping her, where she jokingly referred to it as looking like a 'goji berry smoothie’.
This isn't the first time in her life Jessie has endured ill health. The singer was diagnosed with a heart condition when she was just eight-years-old, before suffering a minor stroke at 18, and going briefly deaf in 2020.
We wish Jessie all the best with the rest of her surgery ❤️.
