Fire crews are in attendance at a large barn fire at a farm in St Newlyn East.

Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service say multiple repeat calls began being received at 07:17 this morning (Monday 10 February) reporting the fire.

Some smoke is entering the A30, close to Carland Cross interchange, so firefighters are urging drivers to proceed with caution through the area.

A total of 47 firefighters from Newquay, St Dennis, Perranporth, Wadebridge, Truro, Launceston, St Austell and Tolvaddon are on scene.

A 50m cordon is in place and a road in the vicinity of the farm has been closed at this time.
