Fireball at A30 petrol station
A Car transporter was fully loaded when it was engulfed in flames
In the early hours of this morning, (Thursday 10 April), a major incident was reported near a Shell petrol station in Cornwall.
A car transporter was fully loaded with at least eight other vehicles when the significant blaze broke out, not long after midnight.
The flames engulfed the rear of the transporter truck, destroying it and the four cars loaded at the front.
At 00.38, four fire engines were called, due to the size of the fire.
Crews from Perranporth, St Dennis, St Columb, Truro and the Water Carrier from Helston were mobilised, in an attempt to get it under control as soon as possible.
Crews had to use two breathing apparatus, two monitors and two main jets to extinguish the blaze.
