Gavin & Stacey's Joanna Page and Mathew Horne reunite for new Waitrose ad
It wouldn't be Christmas without Gavin and Stacey, right?!
It's safe to say Waitrose has went all out this year for their Christmas campaign, with the supermarket giant enlisting the help of actress Keira Knightley and comedian Joe Wilkinson to help make 'the best ad of 2025'.
However, it seems they aren’t stopping there with their heartwarming ads, as Waitrose has now released another Christmas campaign, this time reuniting Gavin and Stacey stars Joanna Page and Mathew Horne.
In the short which has landed on social media, Joanna and Mathew are sat around a Christmas table, with Joanna kicking things off making reference to last year's Gavin and Stacey Christmas special. She says: "Oh, you didn't think we'd let Christmas roll around without showing up again did you?"
Mathew then says: "Us? Miss Christmas? Not a chance! But this time we're here to help you say it with food."
The pair are handed an envelope from Santa, which contains a letter from a member of the public asking how to he can show his leading lady he loves her, with the help of food.
Mathew then presses play on the TV screen, which shows Waitrose's heartwarming Christmas advert, featuring Keira and Joe, before they are handed the supermarket's staple Festive Turkey Pie to tuck into.

Fans were quick to comment on the new ad, with many calling it 'iconic'.
One wrote: 'Omg how iconic!!', with another writing: 'Christmas made! 👏'. A third wrote: 'Absolute ICONS ♥️'.
Somebody else wrote: 'this is so so cool!!!!😱LOVE🩷', with another writing: 'WAITROSE I LOVE YOU FOR THIS'. (sic)
Speaking about the short, Joanna Page said: “You thought you’d seen the last of us! Well, we’re back and what fun we had. I love food, so it was such a treat working with Mat and Waitrose on this new mini-series. From a delicious turkey pie to a mouth-watering mushroom wellington, food is what brings people together over the festive season.”
Mathew Horne added: “It was brilliant to be back on set with Joanna - it’s become a Christmas tradition. We’re very familiar with the classic Christmas conundrums, but there’s nothing that some good food can’t fix. If I haven’t eaten it all first! Jokes aside, food really is the perfect way to show your love this festive season."
The new advert is part of a six-part series called How to Say It With Food. The first episode launched on Tuesday 2nd December across Waitrose’s online and social channels, with new episodes dropping every Tuesday and Friday in the lead up until 19th December.
It was back in mid-November when Waitrose dropped their official 2025 Christmas advert, which is titled 'The Perfect Gift' and a huge four minutes long.
The long advert sees an unlikely romance form between Keira, who plays herself, and Joe, who takes on the role of a man called Phil, as the pair both order Sussex Charmer cheese at the Waitrose counter.
Taking inspiration from classic films like Love Actually and Notting Hill, the advert captivated the nation.
