BBC confirm start date for The Traitors series 2

If you cast your minds back to November last year, you'll no doubt remember brand new reality series The Traitors taking over the BBC, with fans hooked on the series featuring Claudia Winkelman as host.
Following the amazing success of the show, it's now been renewed for a second series, with bosses confirming the start date!
When does The Traitors series 2 start?
BBC bosses have now revealed series two will land on Wednesday 3rd January at 9pm!
Episodes will then air on Thursday 4th and Friday 5th January.
A first-look trailer was also released a few weeks ago. Featuring Claudia in the iconic Traitors' cloak, the caption read: 'It's coming...🤫 #TheTraitors #iPlayer'. (sic)
With Traitors also randomly popping up throughout different parts of Strictly Come Dancing, fans were understandably excited at the announcement.
One commented: 'Cant wait', with another adding: 'YES!'. A third wrote: 'I cannot wait, loved the first series', with another writing: 'Best show on TV, bring it on!' (sic)

As fans will know, series one of The Traitors was filmed in a castle in the Scottish Highlands, and featured 22 strangers competing for a prize fund of up to £120,000.
Host Claudia carefully selected a number of 'Traitors' during the first day of filming, with the remaining contestants being the 'Faithfuls'. In the end, faithful contestants Aaron Evans, Hannah Byczkowski, and Meryl Williams were crowned the winners, each taking home a share of the prize fund.
It sounds like the second series could be a little different however, with producer Mike Cotton telling Digital Spy: "I think it's going to be totally different."
He added: "It's that the cast of series 1 turned up to play a game and not become famous, but I think for series 2 it's going to be different. It's like a good murder mystery. Everyone thinks they know how to play the game, but they have no idea!
"There will be new twists and turns in the game. Everyone knows the core premise of The Traitors, but there's more we can do with it."
The Traitors will return to BBC One and BBC iPlayer on Wednesday 3rd January 2024.
