She appeared on This Morning

If like us you're on the hunt for ANY information about the ninth series of hit Netflix series Selling Sunset, then you'll probably be very pleased with the latest update from a popular cast member.

Although we still don't have any details about the start date (sob), Amanza Smith has teased what fans can expect from the upcoming series, and it sounds like the drama is going to be off the charts.

Appearing on This Morning on 24th April, Amanza told hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard that she 'loses it' in series nine, when she sticks up for a friend.

She said: "You don't realise how much, you really have drama in your life, you just don't realise it till there's cameras following you 24/7. If you talk a little bit negatively about someone they usually don't hear it as there's not a camera in your face and then it comes to life when we film.

"This season is no different, I'll give you a little bit, I actually do have a moment where I'm not as calm.

"I'm not going to say what it is or when it is but there is a moment where I haven't seen it edited so I'm exited to sort of see how it plays out. But I have a very strong opinion about something somebody says and I sort of just lose it, I'm like: 'Ahhh!'

"You get a very passionate side of me like sticking up for a friend and I'm interested to see how it plays out."

When is series nine out?

Filming for the ninth series of the show actually started last year, but it was halted due to the LA wildfires in January 2025.

It's understood that filming is now complete and rumours are rife it could land around September time if it follows the same scheduling format as the last few series.

Although she spoke about Selling Sunset during the interview, Amanza was actually on This Morning to promote her upcoming art exhibition at Grove Gallery in Fitzrovia.

Grove Gallery confirmed the exicting news earlier this month, writing on social media: 'From Netflix to the global art stage. ✨ We’re thrilled to announce that @amanzasmith star of Netflix’s Selling Sunset, has officially joined Grove Gallery. 🖼️

'Known for her fearless style and unshakable presence, Amanza is now making her mark in the fine art world – and she’s doing it with Grove Gallery. Her debut European exhibition lands at our Fitzrovia space on 24th April 2025 📍– and it’s just the beginning.

'Stay tuned for exclusive previews, global exhibition announcements, and limited-edition releases that promise to redefine contemporary cool'. (sic)

Now check out the Selling Sunset cast below:

Sandra Vergara

Sandra Vergara was announced as a new agent due to join Selling Sunset in season nine. The actress, who is the sister of Sofia Vergara, has appeared in US shows such as Nip/Tuck and CSI. According to records from the California Department of Real Estate, Sandra obtained her real estate licence in May 2025.

Sandra first appeared during episode six of season nine, where she met with all the other agents individually to find out the office goss.

Jason Oppenheim

Jason Oppenheim is the President and founder of real estate brokerage The Oppenheim Group, and is consistently ranked as a top agent in the country. Alongside his twin brother Brett, Jason is also a trained lawyer and he's worth an estimated $50 million. Throughout his career, he's closed over $1 billion in sales and consistently manages more than $100 million in active listings.

The Oppenheim Group now has four offices, the flagship office in West Hollywood, California (which features on the show), as well as offices in Newport Beach, La Jolla and Cabo San Lucas in Mexico.

Brett Oppenheim

Brett Oppenheim was previously the Vice-President of The Oppenheim Group and managed the team alongside his twin brother Jason. In 2020, Brett left The Oppenheim Group to start his own brokerage, Oppenheim Real Estate, but he does still make appearances on the show.

Mary Fitzgerald

Mary Fitzgerald has been a popular cast member since season one arrived, but she's been in the real estate industry a long time! Mary actually obtained her licence way back in 2008, before joining The Oppenheim Group in 2015. Mary has been close friends with Jason and Brett for over decade and often gets dubbed as the 'teacher's pet' by her Selling Sunset co-stars, with Jason often giving her the 'best listings' and putting her in charge whilst he's away.

During season two of the show, viewers witnessed Mary get married to her French toyboy Romain Bonnet. She's also a proud mum to her son Austin Babbitt.

Chrishell Stause

Chrishell Stause became an agent at The Oppenheim Group in 2018 and has been a prominent member of the cast since season one. Chrishell has appeared on every single season so far, with her friendships, relationships and work life all playing out. Over the years, Chrishell has found herself embroiled in a lot of drama with her cast mates. In recent seasons, Chrishell's wife G-Flip has also appeared, after the pair announced their relationship in 2022.

In November 2025, following the release of season nine, Chrishell announced she'd quit the show, admitting it's no longer good for her mental health.

Emma Hernan

Model and social media star Emma Hernan joined the cast in series four and has appeared ever since. As well as being a successful real estate agent, which saw her representing the sale of Harry Styles' former Hollywood Hills home, she's also the founder and CEO of Emma Leigh & Co., a plant-based frozen food company.

Chelsea Lazkani

Real estate agent Chelsea Lazkani joined the cast of Selling Sunset for season five. Chelsea, who is British-Nigerian, has a Bachelor's degree in Economics and a Master's degree in Oil and Gas Economics, and before she joined The Oppenheim Group, she worked as a business strategist and solar analyst in the oil and gas industry.

Throughout her time on the show, Chelsea has become close to co-stars Chrishell and Emma, with the pair supporting her through her divorce to businessman Jeff Lazkani in 2024. Chelsea is also a proud mum to two children.

Amanza Smith

Amanza joined the show in season two, however it didn't take her long to fit in after being friends with both Jason and Brett Oppenheim and Mary Fitzgerald for a number of years. After Amanza's real estate licence expired in 2024, Amanza confirmed in season eight that she was no longer actively practicing as a realtor. Instead, Amanza now focuses her time on art and interior design, often showing her skills by staging homes.

The former model is also a proud mum to her two children Noah and Braker.

Nicole Young

The Oppenheim Group employee Nicole Young first joined the cast in series six. Nicole was originally due to appear from season one, but she pulled out of the show at the last minute. Since appearing on screen, Nicole has certainly brought drama, and during episode three on season nine, Jason fires Nicole for comments she towards Chrishell during a group dinner.

Despite this, Nicole is still listed as an active agent on The Oppenheim Group website, and she confirmed she hadn't been fired during the season nine reunion.

Bre Tiesi

Bre Tiesi made the decision to transition from modelling to real estate, obtaining her licence in June 2017, before joining The Oppenheim Group in 2023. She joined the cast of Selling Sunset in season six, and it's safe to say she's been involved in her fair share of drama. Bre is also a proud mum to her son Legendary Love Cannon, who she shares with Nick Cannon.

Alanna Whittaker Gold

Model Alana Gold joined the cast of Selling Sunset for season eight in 2024. The Canadian-born real estate agent started her career working for Westside Estate Agency, before moving to The Oppenheim Group in 2020. Alana made a great first impression with her co-stars, when she made a claim that she owned Pioneertown, a small desert town in California. However, after receiving backlash from residents, Alana apologised and confirmed she owns a 'small portion of property in the area'.

Romain Bonnet

He's the French model that stole the heart of Mary Fitzgerald (and us), with the pair tying the knot in season two. As well as appearing on every season, Romain also now works for The Oppenheim Group as a trusted contractor, with him doing construction work for the company's brand new office.

Heather Rae El Moussa

Actress and model Heather Rae El Moussa (née Young) first gained her real estate licence back in 2014, going on to appear on the first six seasons of Selling Sunset. After marrying her husband Tarek El Moussa in 2021 and welcoming her son Tristan Jay in early 2023, Heather took a step back from the show, before revealing she hadn't been asked back for season eight.

Her TV career didn't end there though, she now co-hosts and co-produces a show called The Flipping El Moussas alongside her husband.

Heather does make a small cameo appearance during episode five of season nine, as the agents set up a donation centre to help those affected by the California wildfires. Heather speaks with Bre and catches up with Jason and Brett.

Christine Quinn

Christine Quinn first joined The Oppenheim Group back in 2014 and jumped at the chance to appear on Selling Sunset, quickly becoming one of the most talked-about cast members with her lavish parties and no-nonsense personality. Christine appeared on five seasons of the show before she left the brokerage in 2022 to launch her own business RealOpen.

Since leaving the show, Christine has also released a book called How to Be a Boss B-tch, signed to IMG Models and appeared on a number of scripted shows. After welcoming her son Christian Georges in 2021, Christine split from her husband Christian Richard in 2024, with Christine moving back to Texas to be closer to her family.

Maya Vander

Maya Vander was a popular member of the Selling Sunset cast for the first five seasons of the show, with the agent splitting her time between Los Angeles and Miami, working for The Oppenheim Group when she was in Beverly Hills. However, after leaving the show in 2022, Maya set up The Maya Vander Group in Miami and now works there full time. Despite this, she is still good friends with the cast and she appeared via FaceTime in season six.

Davina Potratz

Although Davina Potratz appeared in season one of Selling Sunset, she wasn't promoted to the main cast until season two, where she was attempting to list a mansion owned by billionaire Adnan Sen for $80 million, something which was still ongoing in season three. Although Davina left The Oppenheim Group to join Douglas Elliman in 2020, she occasionally pops up on the show, visiting her former co-stars.

Vanessa Villela

Following an acting career, Vanessa Villela obtained her real estate licence in 2020 and joined the cast of Selling Sunset for season four. Although she was born in Mexico, Vanessa became an American citizen in 2017 and she was very vocal about her excitement at joining the show. After contracting COVID-19 during filming for season five, Vanessa was unable to film and her appearances were minimal.

Vanessa chose to leave both the show and The Oppenheim Group, going back to her old job at The Agency.

Selling Sunset is available to watch on Netflix now, with series nine expected to land later this year.
