The waiting is over! RuPaul’s Drag Race UK has announced the return of the popular show to our screens and it is much sooner than expected.

Drag Race fans will be happy to learn that the series is set to return this autumn, with a new batch of fresh Queens ready for the runway.

Series three is set to come just a few months after the finale of the second series in March this year, which saw Scottish Queen Lawrence Chaney take the crown.

RuPaul's Drag Race UK Series Two Queens

The next series will see RuPaul welcome 12 more hopefuls who will face challenges over the course of 10 episodes to test their charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent.

Although we don’t yet know the names of the aspiring series three Queens, BBC Three shared a sneak peek of the forthcoming series on their Twitter account.

The teaser video was accompanied by a post: "It's official, #DragRaceUK Series 3 is coming THIS AUTUMN!"

It later added: "Keep your eyes peeled for more #DragRaceUK Series 3 ru-veals coming very, very soon!"

Series three of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK will be available to stream on BBC Three on IPlayer in the UK and on WOW Presents Plus in the US.
