Bridgerton's Regé-Jean Page is reading bedtime stories on Mother's Day
CBeebies... We thank you!
Last updated 15th Mar 2021
Although Mother's Day will be slightly different this year due to the current lockdown rules across the UK, children's TV channel CBeebies is gracing our screens with the one and only Regé-Jean Page from hit Netflix show Bridgerton.
That's right! Regé-Jean, who plays Simon Basset in the popular show, has joined CBeebies' now iconic bedtime stories feature, reading uplifting book Rain Before Rainbows on Sunday 14th March.
In what looks like a bumper week to spread lockdown love, CBeebies have also confirmed a number of other famous faces to appear on the show next week, including Hollywood heartthrob Tom Hardy, who of course has become one of the show's most popular guests over the last few years.
Award-winning singer Rag'n'Bone Man will read a bedtime story on Monday 15th March, with English actress Felicity Jones taking over on Tuesday 16th, and Strictly Come Dancing star Oti Mabuse on our screens on Thursday 17th.
And despite Cbeebies targeting children aged between two-six, it seems mums and dads across the land are over the moon at the latest bookings.
One Instagram user wrote, 'My daughter loves when Tom Hardy reads the story (not going to lie I love it too)', with another adding, 'Regè Jean and Tom Hardy in one week.. Whatever did we do to deserve you @cbeebieshq 😂'. (sic)
Another then wrote, 'This just brought tears to my eyes for all the wrong reasons.... Regé and Tom, what a treat 😍'. (sic)
A fourth added, 'I assume this is CBeebies Mother’s Day gift to us all 😍😂'. (sic)
