Finally, Monday 16th September has arrived, which means it's time for the new series of My Mum, Your Dad. The show which first appeared on our TV screens last year, welcomed several single parents looking for love, and their adult children. Joined by host Davina McCall, the children were allowed to watch what was happening from The Bunker, giving their thoughts on how the parents' relationships were blossoming - or not.

Now, as the second series is about to arrive, Davina has given away a new twist for the programme, which involves a parent from last year. As fans of the show will know, not all the couples from the first series lasted, so it sounds like a previous parent is returning for another chance to look for love.

Taking to Instagram, the official My Mum, Your Dad account shared a photo of Davina with the caption: 'We’ve got a little surprise headed your way... A parent from last series is stepping back into the retreat, but who could it be? 🤫 #MyMumYourDad'.

Following the revelation, several fans of the show have been speculating as to who it could be, with many hoping for Caroline to return. In the first season, viewers had the chance to see Caroline originally paired with Roger, who ultimately ended up with Janey - and the pair are still together now.

However, Caroline was sadly evicted from the retreat, as it was agreed she and fellow contestant Clayton hadn't found a connection with anyone during their time on the show. Could she get a second chance on the show?

Other fan favourites according to the comments are 'nice' Martin and Elliott.

My Mum, Your Dad returns to our TVs on Monday 16th September at 9pm on ITV/STV, and will be available to watch on ITVX and STV Player after. It will then air daily at 9pm on ITV/STV.
