Disney+ announce new pricing plan for 2025

Home to some of the biggest TV shows and movies around like The Kardashians, Paradise, The Bear and Moana, streaming service Disney+ has grown in popularity over the last few years, achieving a huge 153.8 million subscribers worldwide in the third quarter of 2024.
As the platform continues to grow and add new and exclusive content, Disney+ has now announced an update to their prices.

Disney+ pricing plans
In mid-February 2025, current Disney+ subscribers received an email informing them of upcoming price changes from 24th March 2025.

Disney+ Standard - £8.99 (monthly) and £89.90 (annually)
Disney+ Premium - £12.99 (monthly) and £129.90 (annually)
Extra Member:

Why is it going up?
Disney+ has revealed the price increase is to allow them to bring you the very best entertainment, from new originals you won’t find anywhere else, to the latest blockbuster movies.
What is on Disney+
As well as Disney classics such as Toy Story, Cinderella and Aladdin, Disney+ is also home to more modern movies like Frozen, Moana, High School Musical and The Greatest Showman, as well as having some huge music-documentaries such as Road Diary: Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band, and Elton John: Never Too Late.
The platform also hosts award-winning shows such as Welcome To Wrexham, The Kardashians, and The Bear, with more new and exclusive titles dropping in 2025, such as Stanley Tucci: The Heart of Italy, Marvel Television’s Ironheart, and Sneaker Wars: Adidas vs. Puma.
Disney+ also includes shows from FX, National Geographic and EMEA.

Snow White
Release date: 21st March 2025
Cast: Rachel Zegler as Snow White, Gal Gadot as the Evil Queen, Andrew Burnap as Jonathan and Ansu Kabia as the Huntsman.
Synopsis: Not too much has been said about the upcoming live-action remake of Snow White, but we're guessing it'll follow a pretty similar storyline to the 1937 original.
Lilo & Stitch
Release date: 23rd May 2025
Cast: Maia Kealoha (Lilo), Chris Sanders (Stitch), Sydney Agudong (Nani), Billy Magnussen (Pleakley), Zach Galifianakis (Jumba), Amy Hill ( Tūtū), Kaipo Dudoit (David), Courtney B. Vance (Cobra Bubbles), Tia Carrere (Mrs. Kekoa).
Synopsis: A live-action reimagining of Disney's 2002 animated classic, Lilo & Stitch is the wildly funny and touching story of a lonely Hawaiian girl and the fugitive alien who helps to mend her broken family.
Elio
Release date: 13th June 2025
Cast: Yonas Kibreab as Elio Solis, America Ferrera as Major Olga Solis, Jameela Jamil as Ambassador Questa and Brad Garrett as Ambassador Grigon.
Synopsis: "For centuries, people have called out to the universe looking for answers—in Disney and Pixar's all-new movie Elio, the universe calls back! The original feature film introduces Elio, an underdog with an active imagination who finds himself inadvertently beamed up to the Communiverse, an interplanetary organization with representatives from galaxies far and wide. Mistakenly identified as Earth's ambassador to the rest of the universe, and completely unprepared for that kind of pressure, Elio must form new bonds with eccentric alien lifeforms, survive a series of formidable trials and somehow discover who he is truly meant to be."
Freaky Friday 2
Release date: 8th August 2025
Cast: Returning to reprise their roles are Jamie Lee Curtis, Lindsay Lohan, Mark Harmon, Chad Michael Murray, Christina Vidal Mitchell, Haley Hudson, Lucille Soong, Stephen Tobolowsky and Rosalind Chao. New characters will be played by Julia Butters, Manny Jacinto, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan and Sophia Hammons.
Synopsis: There's no word yet on what the plot will entail!
Zootopia 2
Release date: 26th November 2025
Cast: TBC
Synopsis: TBC
Toy Story 5
Release date: 19th June 2026
Cast: Tom Hanks as Woody and Tim Allen as Buzz Lightyear.
Synopsis: There aren't too many details about this film yet, but Pixar CCO Pete Docter said in February 2023 that the film would be "surprising" and have "cool things you've never seen before".
Moana
Release date: 10th July 2026
Cast: Catherine Laga'aia as Moana, Dwayne Johnson as Maui, John Tui as Chief Tui, Frankie Adams as Sina and Rena Owen as Gramma Tala.
Synopsis: It's very early stages in the project, but it's thought that the storyline will follow the 2016 animated original.
Frozen III
Release date: TBC
Cast: So far, we only know that Josh Gad is returning as Olaf the Snowman.
Synopsis: There's no word yet on what might happen in Frozen III!
