Zara Larsson opens up about her new film role backstage at Hits Live

Swedish songstress Zara Larsson joined us at Hits Live Liverpool on Friday night (26th May) and Hits Radio's Fleur East, James Barr and Producer Matt were lucky enough to catch up with the 'End of Time' singer backstage.

Zara recently announced that she would be starring in a new Netflix film, called A Part of Me, and we wanted to know ALL about it...

"It's a Swedish movie, but it's going to be on Netflix worldwide, so everybody can watch it," Zara explained, going on to say: "It's a really beautiful story, it's quite dark and sad, but it's also very hopeful and beautiful, and it's just about life!"

The singer admitted: "It sounds terrible, but it's beautiful and I'm so happy with my cast mates, and I think it's going to be really, really nice. And I feel if there were like an acting debut, this is a really good group of people to do it with."

When asked if she had always wanted to do acting, she revealed: "Yeah, I've always had it in the back of my mind, and I haven't really actively pursued it. I've had some questions, some people contact me and are like 'we'd love to have you in this series or this movie', but it's always like 'you're playing a pop star', and that's something I don't want to do.

"I want to get kind of far from that, something completely different, or something that hasn't had anything to do with my profession, or my day-to-day life," Zara explained.

A Part of Me has just started production and is due for release in 2024.

Following the interview, Zara then took to the stage at Hits Live Liverpool and wowed the audience performing many of her biggest hits including 'Lush Life' and her most recent song 'End of Time'.
