Who is Sabrina Carpenter?
Sabrina Carpenter is an American singer, songwriter and actress, from Quakertown, Pennsylvania. Known for earlier releases such as 'Thumbs', Sabrina's latest singles - such as 'Feather', 'Espresso' and 'Please Please Please' - have gained her worldwide recognition and cemented her as a pop superstar.
After making her acting debut back in 2011, she soon bagged a leading role in the Disney Channel show Girl Meets World, and after featuring in various Disney titles, Sabrina branched out into the world of music - following in the footsteps of Disney legends such as Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez.
Since then Sabrina's career has gone from strength to strength, with worldwide hits, award wins and an upcoming tour.
Who is her famous relative?
Interestingly, Sabrina is also the niece of award-winning actress Nancy Cartwright, who is famously known as the talented voice behind Bart Simpson. Taking to TikTok to answer fan questions in July 2024, Nancy spoke about her "pretty amazing" niece!
She said: "Isn't that amazing? When you find out that somebody — maybe you've known me for a little while, doing this little 10-year-old boy for 35-something years, and some of you guys, for like way less than that — find out that I'm related to this superstar. She's pretty amazing."
Are Meryl Streep and Sabrina Carpenter related?
Despite a viral tweet claiming the two were related (after similarities were drawn of Sabrina in her video for 'Taste', which took inspiration from Meryl's hit cult film 'Death Becomes Her'), they are not related.
How old is she?
Sabrina was born on 11th May 1999, making her 25-years-old at the time of writing.
How did she become famous?
Like a few pop superstars out there, Sabrina Carpenter's journey to stardom started with the double dose of acting and singing. Landing her first role back in 2011, Sabrina bagged a guest role on Law & Order: SVU, appearing as a character named Paula.
Sabrina then featured in the odd TV show and film here and there - including Noobz, Orange Is the New Black and Austin & Ally - and even dabbled in voice acting for Disney's hit show Phineas and Ferb.
However, 2014 saw her land her biggest role yet, bagging a lead role of Maya Hart in Disney's Girl Meets World. Appearing in a total of 72 episodes of the show, she continued her role up until 2017.
Charming audiences on the screen, Sabrina was also fine tuning her musical skills from early on, recording the Girl Meets World's theme song alongside her co-star Rowan Blanchard. She signed a five-album deal with Hollywood Records, releasing her debut single 'Can't Blame a Girl for Trying' in 2014. Now, she has released six albums - 'Eyes Wide Open' (2015), 'Evolution' (2016), 'Singular: Act I' (2018), 'Singular: Act II' (2019), 'Emails I Can't Send' (2022) and 'Short n' Sweet' (2024).
Sabrina's Netflix Christmas special
What better way to round off an incredible year in her career, than by hosting her very own holiday special on Netflix? Sabrina will be hosting her own festive show, welcoming a whole host of special guests - bringing 'unexpected duets' and enlisting the help of various comedians.
The special - penned A Nonsense Christmas with Sabrina Carpenter - is set to be a night to remember, with it landing on the streaming platform on 6th December 2024.
Announcing the news on socials, Sabrina can be seen donning a signature sequin corset bodysuit - which, of course, had a festive touch - with the streaming giant writing: 'This is really gonna jingle your bells
'A Nonsense Christmas with Sabrina Carpenter — her first-ever holiday special — features unexpected duets and comedic guests you will not want to miss! Mark your calendars for Dec 6 at 9PM ET/ 6 PM PT'. (sic)
As Christmas lovers will know, it's often 'All I Want For Christmas Is You' icon Mariah Carey who rules the festive roost, having hosted numerous holiday specials in the past. In a nod to Mariah's legendary holiday status, Sabrina says to the camera: "Expecting someone else?"
As for what the how will entail, we're going to have to wait and see. We wouldn't blame you, however, for thinking there may be a healthy sprinkling of tracks from her 2023 Christmas EP, 'Fruitcake', as well as tracks from 'Short N' Sweet'.

In August, however, reports began to circulate that the pair had split, however neither Sabrina or Barry have confirmed, or denied, this news.
Rumours that Sabrina and Barry were dating began in late 2023, when they were spotted out and about with one another, looking pretty smitten. Their romance was later confirmed as they appeared on multiple red carpets together - including the Meta Gala 2024 and the Vanity Fair Oscar Party. Although neither of the pair confirmed - or denied 👀 - the romance, they appeared very close and often posted each other on their social medias. The pair's alleged relationship got many fans talking at the time, with rumours swirling that Sabrina is 'that blonde girl' mentioned in Olivia Rodrigo's 'drivers licence'.
Fans believed Olivia and Joshua were in a relationship, prior to him being connected to Sabrina - and with 'drivers licence' thought the be about her breakup with Josh, many believe Sabrina to be 'that blonde girl, who always made me doubt'.
The fan theories continue as others suggest Sabrina's track 'Skin' is the singer's response - including lyrics such as: 'Maybe we could've been friends, if I met you in another life. Maybe then we could pretend there's no gravity in the words we write. Maybe you didn't mean it, maybe blonde was the only rhyme'.
What are her funniest quotes?

Sabrina Carpenter's perfume
It's no secret that Sabrina has some of the catchiest lyrics in the game - including the 'Espresso' line: "Soft skin and I perfumed it for you". Well, thankfully, we can all bring those lyrics to life, with Sabrina now having three of her own scents!
Yep, already having two perfumes under her belt - in the form of Sweet Tooth and Caramel Dream - the singer has now released another signature scent to add to her collection - Cherry Baby.
Released on 25th July 2024, the singer wrote on Instagram: 'My new fragrance, Cherry Baby is now available in the US at fragrancebysabrina.com! We will release it internationally very soon. Go get yours, i hope you love it as much as i do🍒'. (sic)
At the moment, Sabrina's new perfume Cherry Baby is only available in the US from her official website, fragrancebysabrina.com. International shipping is not yet available, meaning we'll have to wait a little bit here in the UK to get our hands on it - but, rest assured, the singer has confirmed it will be released internationally soon.
Sabrina teased the new scent in mid-July 2024, writing: 'soft skin and i 🍒 it for you. fragrancebysabrina.com. 7/25/24'. (sic), quoting her own iconic lyrics from the Platinum certified 'Espresso'.
Taking the emoji as a pretty big hint, fans were expecting the scent to have fruity notes - cherries, to be precise - and with her official site also picturing a bowl of the specific fruit, it was a pretty safe assumption.
