Sabrina Carpenter is everywhere right now, following multiple award nominations at this year's GRAMMYs and The BRIT Awards 2026 with Mastercard. This year alone she will be performing at Coachella (both weekends) and Lollapalooza in Brazil.

From her early career to her latest releases and chart-topping hits, here’s everything you need to know about Sabrina Carpenter, including her newest music, recent award recognition, and what she’s been up to lately.

Who is Sabrina Carpenter?

Sabrina Carpenter is an American singer, songwriter and actress, from Quakertown, Pennsylvania. Known for earlier releases such as 'Thumbs', Sabrina's more recent singles - 'Feather', 'Espresso' and 'Please Please Please' - have gained her worldwide recognition and cemented her as a pop superstar.

After making her acting debut back in 2011, she soon bagged a leading role in the Disney Channel show Girl Meets World, and after featuring in various Disney titles, Sabrina branched out into the world of music - following in the footsteps of Disney legends such as Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez.

Since then Sabrina's career has gone from strength to strength, with worldwide hits, award wins and a huge tour.

How old is she?

Sabrina was born on 11th May 1999, making her 26-years-old.

How tall is she?

A seemingly popular topic surrounding Sabrina Carpenter is the question of how tall she is. Well, the singer reportedly stands at 1.51 metres, which is ever-so-slightly under the 5ft mark - making her album title 'Short n' Sweet' very apt!

Sabrina has become known for her 'Babydoll' looks - with sweet tutu and slip dresses.

How did she become famous?

Like a fair few pop superstars out there, Sabrina Carpenter's journey to stardom started with the double dose of acting and singing. Landing her first role back in 2011, Sabrina bagged a guest role on Law & Order: SVU, appearing as a character named Paula.

Sabrina then featured in the odd TV show and film here and there - including Noobz, Orange Is the New Black and Austin & Ally - and even dabbled in voice acting for Disney's hit shows Phineas and Ferb and Sophia The First.

However, 2014 saw her land her biggest role yet, bagging a lead role of Maya Hart in Disney's Girl Meets World. Appearing in a total of 72 episodes of the show, she continued her role up until 2017.

Charming audiences on the screen, Sabrina was also fine tuning her musical skills from early on, recording the Girl Meets World's theme song alongside her co-star Rowan Blanchard.

She signed a five-album deal with Hollywood Records, releasing her debut single 'Can't Blame a Girl for Trying' in 2014. Now, she has released seven albums - 'Eyes Wide Open' (2015), 'Evolution' (2016), 'Singular: Act I' (2018), 'Singular: Act II' (2019), 'Emails I Can't Send' (2022), 'Short n' Sweet' (2024) and 'Man's Best Friend' (2025).

Who is Sabrina Carpenter dating?

Like many of our favourite celebs, Sabrina's love life so far has been a fruitful mix of confirmed romances and rumoured flings. Following a publicly confirmed relationship with a fellow Disney star, Bradley Steven Perry, in 2014, there was later speculation around her connection to High School Musical The Musical The Series star Joshua Bassett in 2020.

In 2024, Sabrina dated Irish actor Barry Keoghan, who is famed for his role in 2023's hit film Saltburn, alongside Aussie actor Jacob Elordi, and more recently Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man.

In August 2025, however, reports began to circulate that the pair had split, although neither Sabrina or Barry confirmed, or denied, the news. Despite November seeing Barry make a rare comment about his 'incredible' girlfriend Sabrina (on The Louis Theroux Podcast), rumours were rife once more of a split in December 2025.

Since the beginning of 2026 it is believed she is single, however rumours that she and Bad Bunny were dating started after a viral moment at the GRAMMYs.

Which TV shows and films has she been in?

Sabrina has featured in many TV shows and films in her time - even offering her vocals up and serving as a voice actor here and there! Starting off featuring in an episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit in 2011, Sabrina went on to voice a guest role in Disney's Phineas and Ferb a year later.

Speaking about her short feature in the popular Disney show, Sabrina told WIRED: "It's interesting, 'cause I ended up working with the creators, Dan and Swampy, of Phineas and Ferb on my next animated series Milo Murphy's Law, but I was just like a small guest role. I went in for the day, and it was kind of like one of my first voiceover jobs where they just had me do a bunch of like random voices.

"I literally don't even remember who I even played, but there's like, throughout a few different episodes, me as just random guest things", continuing: "If you find it, let me know!"

From 2012-2016, Sabrina then featured in films such Zoobz (2012), Gulliver Quinn (2012), Horns (2013) and Adventures in Babysitting (2016). Is she going to be in Mamma Mia 3?

Ah, the question on all of our lips. Following cast members such as Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan and Cher - and even producer Judy Craymer AND ABBA legend Björn Ulvaeus - teasing that we may well have a third instalment of the popular movie on the way, rumours began to swirl over a potential Sabrina Carpenter cameo.

With Sabrina performing a cover of the hit track 'Mamma Mia' at some of her 'Short N' Sweet' tour dates, during the 'Spin The Bottle' segment, reports have been suggesting that the singer is in talks to appear in the third movie.

With the third film very much so still in the planning stages, it seems that Judy and starring actress Amanda Seyfried are certainly up for the cameo - with Judy reportedly teasing that Sabrina would play a "goddess or some relation who would look very much like Meryl Streep".

As of yet, Sabrina's involvement in the film has not been confirmed.

Has she featured on 'Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour'?

She sure has! Between August 2023 and March 2024, she opened for Taylor Swift on her 'Eras Tour' at several dates in Latin America, Australia and Asia.

In October 2024, Sabrina shared a flashback to the moment she joined Taylor on stage during The Eras Tour to sing 'Espresso'. In the post on Instagram, she said: 'only stage i’d ever wanna see on a day off !!!!

Sabrina Carpenter's perfume

It's no secret that Sabrina has some of the catchiest lyrics in the game - including the 'Espresso' line: "Soft skin and I perfumed it for you". Well, thankfully, we can all bring those lyrics to life, with Sabrina now having three of her own scents!

Yep, already having two perfumes under her belt - in the form of Sweet Tooth and Caramel Dream - the singer has now released another signature scent to add to her collection - Cherry Baby.

Released on 25th July 2024, the singer wrote on Instagram: 'My new fragrance, Cherry Baby is now available in the US at fragrancebysabrina.com! We will release it internationally very soon. Go get yours, i hope you love it as much as i do🍒'. (sic)

Sabrina's perfume Cherry Baby has since been released in the UK too!

Sabrina teased the new scent in mid-July 2024, writing: 'soft skin and i 🍒 it for you. fragrancebysabrina.com. 7/25/24'. (sic), quoting her own iconic lyrics from the Platinum certified 'Espresso'.

Taking the emoji as a pretty big hint, fans were expecting the scent to have fruity notes - cherries, to be precise - and with her official site also picturing a bowl of the specific fruit, it was a pretty safe assumption.

Who is her famous relative?

Interestingly, Sabrina is the niece of award-winning actress Nancy Cartwright, who is famously known as the talented voice behind Bart Simpson. Taking to TikTok to answer fan questions in July 2024, Nancy spoke about her "pretty amazing" niece!

She said: "Isn't that amazing? When you find out that somebody — maybe you've known me for a little while, doing this little 10-year-old boy for 35-something years, and some of you guys, for like way less than that — find out that I'm related to this superstar. She's pretty amazing."

Are Meryl Streep and Sabrina Carpenter related?
