Fleur East isn't just the host of the Hits Radio Breakfast Show - she's also a very talented singer! The voice behind hits like 'Sax', 'Lucky' and 'Not Alone', Fleur started out on The X Factor back in 2014 and her career has come a long way since then.

The very talented radio presenter was part of 2022's Strictly Come Dancing line-up, where she proved that she's also an amazing dancer! Along with her partner Vito Coppola, Fleur was the first contestant of 2022 to get a perfect score from the judges and she made it through to the Final!

We heard some new music from Fleur in 2023, with her track 'Count The Ways', and in January 2024, Fleur revealed the lovely news that she is pregnant! To celebrate, we're taking a look at her biggest hits so far.

Fleur East - 'Uptown Funk'

In the semi-final of The X Factor, Fleur performed 'Uptown Funk' by Mark Ronson featuring Bruno Mars. Although not released as an official single by Fleur, the song was so popular with the audience that it went to Number 1 on the iTunes chart. Fleur became the first X Factor contestant to reach Number 1 during the competition.

Fleur East - 'Sax'

'Sax' was Fleur East's debut single after The X Factor. The song was a massive hit in 2015 and reached Number 3 in the UK where it was certified Platinum. Speaking about her debut song, she said she wanted her music to be fun to listen to and that's what 'Sax' is for her.

Fleur East - 'Day in LA (More and More)'

Back in 2016, Fleur uploaded her 'Day in LA (More and More)' video to YouTube, which has now had more than 1.1 million views. The music video sees Fleur on the beaches and arcades near Los Angeles. 'More and More' was featured on Fleur's debut album 'Love, Sax and Flashbacks'.

Fleur East - 'Favourite Thing'

'Favourite Thing' was Fleur's first song since leaving Simon Cowell's label Syco. Fleur released the stunning music video in January 2019 which featured the singer wearing an extravagant white outfit for much of the video.

Fleur East - 'Lucky'

'Lucky' fuses rhythmic percussion, smooth vocals and a pulsating bass line. Speaking about her excitement for her new release, Fleur said: "I'm really excited for people to hear 'Lucky'. It's such an uplifting, feel good song with a positive message. It's all about being grateful for the blessings you have in your life, and understanding that everything worth having is hard work."

Fleur East - 'Not Alone'

Fleur's song 'Not Alone' was initially written for an exclusive performance on The One Show, encouraging viewers to stay at home amidst the Coronavirus crisis. However, after getting so much attention online, she's decided to write an extra verse and chorus so the song can be released to raise money for the NHS. 💙

Fleur East - 'Count The Ways'

Fleur made a spectacular return to music with her new song 'Count The Ways'. It came out on 26th January and she revealed that even more songs are on the way this year. We can't wait!


She told us: "I'm going to release singles, because I'm independent now. I'm doing it all myself, I'm funding it all myself. I can just release songs as and when. You're going to hear a lot more."

Fleur teased that we'd be getting new music from her in 2023, saying: "There’s a lot more music coming from me! I’ve been really inspired this year and I’ve written some new songs and played them to Vito in rehearsals and got his approval. And I’ve booked him for my next music video so he’s all ready for that!"

She then announced her brilliant new song 'Count The Ways' which she released on 26th January.

Fleur followed up with news about her song, with the announcement of a headline show in London which took place on 16th March.

When was Fleur East on The X Factor?

Fleur was on The X Factor in 2005 and again in 2014. Speaking about her time on the show, Fleur said: "I will forever be grateful to that show and what it did for me and my family. I can now go to work doing what I love everyday which is amazing!"

Since The X Factor, Fleur has also appeared in I'm A Celebrity, Don't Rock The Boat and The Void, as well as presenting the Hits Radio Breakfast Show.

Why did Fleur East join Strictly Come Dancing?

Before joining the series, Fleur explained how she was feeling and her motivation to take part in the show. She said: "I’m equally nervous and thrilled to be part of this year’s Strictly line up. I’m excited to learn new skills and I want to soak up every moment of this magical experience. It’s such an honour to be on the show after years of watching it with my Father who loved it so much.

"Unfortunately my Dad is no longer with us but I know he will be watching over the ballroom in spirit. I’m doing this to make him and my family proud and can’t wait to get my dancing shoes on!"
