Adam Lambert reveals the unexpected way his collab with Sigala was recorded
They weren't even in the same country!
Joining Hits UK with Sam Thompson on Hits Radio, Adam Lambert opened up about working with Sigala on the official Pride in London 2023 song.
Adam and Sigala released their song 'You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real)', a cover of a 70s song by Sylvester, earlier this year. Adam explained how their collab came about, telling Sam that they weren't even in the same country!
"He's just so humble and normal and down to Earth," Adam said, speaking about Sigala: "He just had this idea...
"And, so we did this kind of remotely, because I was actually in LA and he was here... actually he was in Thailand of all places! He was DJing. So, I recorded it in LA, and we sent it over and he put it in the track, and he sent it back to me a couple of days later and it was just... instantly felt really good."
When Sam seemed surprised they hadn't even met while recording the song, Adam went on to say: "You'll be surprised how often this happens, the technology we have nowadays is amazing. Zoom is amazing, you can get on a video call, work out what you want to do, work out details and then do it, and send it!"
Adam then explained how the pair had worked together a few years ago, but hadn't found the right "project" to put out together, but they really enjoyed working together in the same studio.
"I love the collaborative process," Adam admitted. "I really like being in a little team and everyone like having ideas and trying something."
